The lower-tier Democratic candidates never had a chance, except as spoilers

Tulsi Gabbard hit Kamala Harris where it hurt during the second Democratic primary debate. John Delaney was given more than 10 minutes to go head-to-head with the liberal front-runners. And Marianne Williamson was the most searched for candidate on Google during and after the debate. But none of these lower-tier candidates have anything to show for their moments in the spotlight.

A new Quinnipiac poll shows that the candidates who needed the debates the most benefited the least. Gabbard remains at 1%, while Delaney and Williamson sit at 0%.

On the other hand, Democratic front-runner Joe Biden maintains his lead at 32%, down 2 points from before the debate. Elizabeth Warren surged, now at 21% after gaining 6 points. Harris, however, tanked. She is now at 7% after losing 5 points.

Some of those candidates do not expect to be serious candidates. They are running because :

1. The campaign increases their name recognition and national profile.

2. Related to that, when they write their books, their bigger name recognition will translate into higher sales.

3. Some hope to be chosen to eventually work as a talking head analyst on MSNBC.

4. Some hope to be chosen as the VP running mate.

5. Some hope to run for president in the future, and are getting their feet wet this time around.

None brought anything new or much different to the race. They are so similar that none is a stand-out. Same old tired issues. Same old tired policy positions. Same old playbook from a decade, 2 decades, 4 decades ago. The only thing they seem to have is their attempt to out-spend their opponents with more free stuff. Free stuff paid for by lame old claim of taxing the rich. Their spending plans total around $200 TRILLION. Ironically, if they confiscated the total wealth of the wealtiest 100, it would only total around $1 Trillion. [source used: http://www.getnetworth.com/100-richest-americans/] Then, what would they do to pay for the other $199 Trillion?

Biden is winning this debate of fools going away. The other clowns are up there just for the dance and will all go home losers. I don’t think Biden will pick any of the women on stage for VP, but he will pick a woman.

If the lesser candidates don’t get the VP nod, a Cabinet position may be offered. Case in point: Rick Perry early 2016 dropout and later Secretary of Energy.

They know they never had a chance.

A Democrat politician declares a run for the Presidency so he/she can receive their political reward bribe money in the form of campaign contributions.

They know they don’t have a chance.

Steve Bullock?

Really? He knows he doesn’t have a chance.

He just takes his political bribe payments reward, I mean campaign contributions, and builds a lakefront mansion next to the previous Democrat Governor Of Montana, Brian Schweitzer.

You remember Brian.

He’s the guy who made sure we got Obamacare.

He ran for President, too.
