Attempted burglary caught on camera in Fort Walton Beach [FL]

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (WEAR-TV) — Security cameras appear to have caught an attempted burglary Monday morning in Fort Walton Beach.

Police said a man tried to break into Jimmy's Men's Store & Pawn Shop on Eglin Parkway at 5:42 a.m.

Cameras show a slender, bald white man using a brick and a bat to try to break through a glass door.

Police said he was not able to get in.

Investigators found blood on the door. They believe the perpetrator injured himself while trying to break in.

The store owner said they took samples to test for DNA.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the pictures or has any information about the burglary attempt is asked to call Detective Sgt. Brandon Chapin at 850-833-9546.

I bought my first nice pistol at Jimmy’s. I wanted to trade in an H&R revolver but the salesman would not do the deal. A guy they called “Jick” over ruled him and made the trade.

That Colt Woodsman was extraordinarily accurate. It was used but excellent. Paid $65 plus the H&R.
