American University’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion would like to require faculty to address students by their “chosen name and pronouns,” so as to make transgender, genderqueer and gender non-conforming students feel welcome. A visiting scholar who just left AU’s Department of Management is so concerned about the proposal that he’s trying to nix it from the top. Adam Kissel, who formerly served in the Trump administration’s Department of Education, learned about the proposal after asking the center about a “pronoun guide” on the private university’s website (below).

Why anyone goes to American U is beyond me. The school is expensive and not a good academic reputation.
With so many young people feeling isolated and finding it difficult to initiate and maintain relationships, this will add a further layer of discouragement. WTG American University! /s

It has a prime location in the heart of the progressive American Empire. If it were located anywhere else, it would be like any other failing, low-level, leftist puppy mill. I took a tour with one of my children 5 years ago. Even a brief visit showed me the place ran thick with stupid left-wing sloganeering and every nonsense social-justice theme that exists. Its academics were not at all impressive, and Yes, and it is indeed super-expensive.
I’m ashamed to have gone there.

Transgenders are sick people - not persons who should be coddled or kowtowed to.
Outside of "them", those aren't even English words.
The guide also addresses misconceptions surrounding gender identity. It warns the community not to assume that “she/her/hers” are female pronouns, or that “he/him/his” are male.
According to standard usage forever, those are feminine and masculine pronouns. Just because an individual is confused about how they apply to that individual doesn't make any difference.
A small group of pinheads at universities and corporations have taken upon themselves to change a language spoken by hundreds of millions of people in order to accommodate the mental disorders of probably a fraction of a percent of the population. People need to push back on this and hard.
