Just a thought, but has anyone noticed that in every picture of this guy, he doesn't seem to be carrying much - if any - backup ammo? I own a 7.62x39 rifle, and those ammo magazines are big and bulky. They are MUCH bigger and heavier than 5.56/.223 rounds. And, he supposedly fired HOW MANY ROUNDS?
My AR-10 .308cal 20rnd mags are as heavy as my AR-15 .223cal 60rnd mags; not much difference.
If there was more than one shooter, forensics should be able to check the spent ammo for markings as each firearm makes certain scratches on the casings.
All of the interest in the beliefs of psychopath killers is just useless.
They are just plain nuts, and they are filled with rage.
Born that way, got that way, what ever......they are that way.
When we push back we just distract from that essential and commanding point.
They are and will always be, we’re better off making earthquakes illegal.
I read somewhere that he had a 100 round drum magazine mounted on the weapon.
There are drum magazines available for both calibers.

Yeh, just saw them on Fox. I havent seen a configuration quite like this though. I didnt get a real good look but it appeared to me that it was a dual drum setup that fed both drums through a common outlet. I dont quite understand how this would work if Im right though. Need a better view.
He may have owned a Confederate flag.
You're right:
7.62x51 is a bit different the 7.72x39.
And their magazines are a bit different then the AR15/16 Ak magazines
My HK 91, M1A/M14 and AR10 magazines are prime ensamples of that.
I was referring to weight difference/similarity between the AR-10 20rnd mags and the AR-15 60rnd mags. One v one in weight, fully- loaded. My 10rnd Beowulf .50cal is a heavy one, too, loaded w/ 425gr HPs.
To carry a vest of those into a battle or street fight (SHTF) will make you work and sweat.
I know all the calibers. I worked for an FFL for several years and am familiar with their differences. But thank you, sir, for your information.
