A tattooed mom accused of leaving her baby girl in a car with the engine running while she drank shots in a bar shows no remorse in her mugshot photo.
Samantha Vaughan, 26, can be seen with a wide grin in the police image after her arrest outside TrackSide nightclub in Copperas Cove, Texas in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Officers who apprehended Vaughan at around 2am say she then shouted a racial slur before recording a blood alcohol level of 0.148. The legal driving limit there is 0.08.
Her one-year-old child was found in a safety seat in the backseat of a car with the doors unlocked, according to police. Vaughan was said to have been found inside the club minutes later.
An affidavit states that officers smelled 'a strong odor' of alcohol.
Vaughan is then said to have told police 'she had two shots' before shouting 'you will not take my child and place her with a f****** n*****'.
Court records show Vaughan claimed to have gone into the bar to use the bathroom after picking her husband up from the nightclub.
The affidavit says when she found her husband she 'sat with him while she consumed the two shots'.

I left my children, briefly, in a black car with the engine running just today. They are between 7 and 12, and know how to get in and out of the car. They had the keys, too. It that illegal? I am sometimes confused about how my benevolent government requires me to behave and wish to better please them so they do not graciously accept possession and responsibility for my kids, property etc. Help! Truly: is it illegal? Is it like “brandishing,” which means whatever the arresting officer AKA American Hero needs it to mean to convict?
Yea but you were probably running into the store for a few seconds not running into the local pub to get wasted.
Your kids are older the one being 12 who should act responsible and tell the younger to behave if necessary.

Yeah, but this poor little kid wasn’t 7-12, she was ONE.
I think we can all agree anyone who would leave a one year old alone in an unlocked car outside of a bar fully deserves to lose custody of that child.

What a tragic face. You can just imagine her without the tattoos. Look at those dimples — adorable. I wonder if the stretched earlobes will ever return to normal. I’ll bet not. Probably permanent.

When my son was 3 I went to a video rental place one evening with my BIL and forgot the kid was in the car.
Figured it out after a minute in the store and ran back to get him. The poor tyke was bawling like Niagara Falls.
Thinking she won’t be adhering to the tattoos on her fingers.

Nope. I have a niece like that. 31 with a toddler and no husband, covered in tats. None on her face and neck.....yet.
The toddler is basically a hairless puppy by the way she treats her. Puts a plate of finger food on the table and leaves it there for the kid to eat whenever she wants. The child is totally not house trained. The little one is so doomed. It's heartbreaking.
Yet they tell us baby boomers are the worst generation...
