Never understood the fascination with Glock, the seem rather ugly and expensive
The .357 Sig is around a grand, the Glock 9mm is around $600
“...Never understood the fascination with Glock,...”
They work, always. The AK47 of the handgun world (as far as reliability goes).
My daily carry.
Once you go Glock there's no looking bock. I mean back.
lol
Expensive? You can get new ones for $500 if you have certain competition or LEO affiliations. I paid $525 without any of that.
Ugly? It is a block of steel and polymer, I’ll grant you that. Maybe it’s the appearance that allows me to throw it into the dirt and gravel and onto concrete without worry. I once fell out of love with a SIG P229 because it had a blemish.
I don't understand people who buy expensive guns for their looks, and then stick them in a safe and never carry them.
$500 plus accessories is pretty reasonable. Every one I’ve had needed trigger work.
Never had a jam or misfeed in 10 years.
I was of the same mind. Every Glock I held, never fit my hand. UNTIL, the G17 Gen 4. I love it.
Come on now. I bet you don't like AR-15's for the same reason. It's because they are black, isn't it? /Sarc
Expensive compared to what? Their pricing is below their quality level. Pretty they are not, but i would trust my life to one.
Should I ever find myself in the middle of a firefight, aesthetics is going to be the least of my concerns. As for cost, when you buy pistols by the truckload, they don't cost nearly as much as they do in a retail store. I carry a Glock because it's like the AK-47. Pull the trigger and it's going to go bang. Whether you're protecting the President or yourself, you don't want to go cheap. I get LE pricing, so it's not really that expensive for me.
Glock, a brick that shoots bullets. Overrated. I will keep my Sig P320 and P365.
I have always been a 1911 guy, its still my favorite go to pistol and always will be. That being said, I bought a Glock 19 Gen 3 when they first came out. I can shoot the Glock extremely well, and have fired thousands of rounds through it. It took some getting used to but I have found it to be very reliable and accurate. The first thing you do with a Glock is get rid of the crap sites it comes with. I carry the 19 with me all the time. I have a Glock 43 that fits nicely in the door map pouch of my truck.
If the Glock gets confiscated, Im out about $800.00. If I lose one of my 1911s, or my Browning Hi-Power, Im out over $1500.00.
I used to think the same thing, but came to realize there is not a gun in existence which has the reliability of a Glock. I love my Kimber 1911 and carry that in the winter months, but in the summer Incarry a Glock 43
And by the bed is a Glock 19 with Trijicon sights and spare 33 round mags.
