The much awaited Miss Grand International 2019 pageant will be held in Venezuela on 25th October 2019. Announcement about the venue and date was made on the Facebook page of the pageant. The officials uploaded a video showing the glimpse of the host country Venezuela and captioned along with it, ‘Official Announcement.’ The grand coronation night of this pageant will witness Miss Grand International 2018, Clara Sosa crowning the new queen with much pomp and fanfare. Miss Grand International 2019 will be the 7th edition of the pageant. Last year Meenakshi Chaudhary of India was sashed first runner up, at the prestigious pageant.
First time I have heard of this pageant.
Miss Grand International falls into the Top 10 category, and in the Asian and South American pageant worlds it is considered a "big" pageant.
If Miss Venezuela wins, she gets a full-size SUV full of Charmin.
Even the United Nations is involved in the pageant world — the MISS EARTH Pageant is sponsored by the UN Foundation to promote climate change, a better planet, and all that crap.

How can Venezuela afford to host a pageant? They don’t even have toilet paper.

The Miss Venezuela Organization has a lot of money. They organized the pageants for the girls that are eventually going to Miss Universe and Miss World. The Miss Venezuela Universe is tomorrow night (Aug. 1st) and the girls this year are much thinner than in years past. Usually they’ll show the pageant live here in the US via Telemundo or Univision.
