In lieu of watching tonight's Regressive Socialist 'RAT debate, what will you be doing?
Or if you do watch, do so with the sound off and supply this thread with the imagined debate dialogue (fake, but accurate).

Sometimes, they’re one and the same!

True, true — the difference is that sometimes the zombie show makes sense.

Thanks, you boiled it down to the essence...”nonsense on stilts.”

Thanks for taking one for the team — sorry about the headache.

Sorry to hear — God bless.

God bless you. Went through the same with my folks. I learned as a Navy veteran that you can live pretty well with a minimum of “stuff.”

Nah, real comfort food is..........well, imagine pulling into the driveway late one fall evening. It's foggy, chilly, and rainy. It's dark, and you're tired. You step through the front door, and you smell the crock pot. Maybe German sauerbraten simmering, with real spaetzle on the side. Maybe the best homemade Tex-Mex chili you've ever had, with the scent of sweet cornbread baking in the oven. Or a pot of pasta sauce so thick, it would make a meal unto itself. Meat, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, olive oil, diced, fire-roasted tomatoes, lots of garlic and basil. Or a baked five layer lasagna, made with ricotta, Mozzarella, Parmesan, and the leftover sauce you made for the spaghetti. Lots of garlic toast. And I won't divulge the recipe for our signature Three Beast Meatloaf. There is comfort food. Best served in front of the fireplace as you and your significant other stoke the logs and sip an adult beverage.

I used to be able to fit everything I would need in a suitcase.
If it didn't fit, I didn't need it. :)
But you know how it is, you settle down, buy a house and you start getting "stuff". Lots of stuff. And I swear it breeds because there is no way on earth I would buy 15 flower vases.

Yes, “stuff” sneaks into the garage and into the closet, and it gets busy! I think sometimes “stuff” uses socks from the dryer as contraceptives, which explains that mystery.

Wow, food porn...I’m hangry!

Basically we are hateful malcontents who have nothing to do but hate everything and everyone.

Sounds like a fitting preamble to the 2020 Democrat party platform.

Awesome! I was in one of the church choirs at the Naval Academy, also a member of the Naval Air Training Command Choir and barbershop choruses in Pensacola & San Diego (2nd Tenor/Lead). Loved it all, especially the travel when I was tad!
