I remember this little skit played on the very unfunny SNL last December. It was cringeworthy back then but today, it's rather humorous considering that the souls of these SNL had to be utterly crushed last week.

Yeah. SNL was great in the early years. It was fairly radical when it came out. One I liked was the Ask Carter skit where Carter (Dan Ackroyd) is talking down someone who did too much acid.
“What did the acid look like? Was it barrel shaped? You did some orange sunshine, Peter. Relax, stay inside and listen to some music, OK? Do you have any Allman Brothers?”
