There's a reason why Brad Pitt is at the top of the A list. He's a very, very good actor.
You guys do know that it is fantasy and not a documentary?
Yes, and that matters how, exactly?
If you don’t like don’t like Tom Cruise, don’t bother.
Dont care much for Cruise, but I thought that was one of his better roles.
What do you think happened when we found the “death camps”?
Theres a difference between shooting nazi camp guards in righteous anger and gleefully bashing in skulls with a giant hammer and taking scalps. Ghoulish is ghoulish. Even Der Fuhrer put the kibosh on lampshades made from human flesh.
Do you think our flame throwers shot into their holes to burn the alive was wrong?
No, and Im wondering why youre veering so off topic
Inglorious Basterds was infantile. An exercise in sadomasochistic masturbation fantasy. Like most of Tarantinos films, pure trash. Only Jackie Brown rose above the effluence of recycled set pieces and stage blood by the gallon.
Yes, put me in the Thumbs Down column.

Pretty well describes my thoughts also.
Tarintino is a weirdo and a typical lefty but his movies are very good. I am hard core Conservative and can still watch things.
I rate movies by the visuals first, then story, acting etc.
Inglourious Basterds was a visual masterpiece.
What was so great about the visuals?
It’s SURREALISM of the highest order.
Like Apocalypse Now. Only with cheap fart humor.
Opening scene was well done. The rest blew major chunks. No comparison to the visual of AN.
Okay, I just got home from seeing Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.... IT WAS REALLY GOOD!!! I mean, it had my attention 100% every minute, and the ending was... wild. I just really enjoyed it. It’s now up there with Natural Born Killers and Fight Club for me.
I have a pretty strict anti-Hollywood policy. Haven’t been to a theater in decades. Buy most DVDs at pawn shops...$2 or $3, none of which goes to lefty Hollywood types. The only exceptions are Tarantino, whose stuff I buy when it hits the stores, Mel Gibson, though I still haven’t seen “Hacksaw Ridge,” and Scorsese. Maybe I’ll take in a movie.
I’ve got to hand it to him. He should be on the short list for an Oscar.
That was one fine movie. Everything about it was top shelf.
I’m ordering a flame thrower this morning.
This review is typical Rex Reed.
He doesn’t get the point of the movie. He never does.
I didn’t know that Rex Reed was still alive, much less pontificating on Holly-weird and its drivel.
Of course, having now seen his cat-fight review of this movie, I definitely want to see it!
Oh, how I laughed when... you know.
*** “This review is typical Rex Reed. He doesnt get the point of the movie. He never does” ***
If Rex Reed doesn’t like it, I will probably watch it.
Tarantino has one common vice throughout his movies.
He refuses to tell the story in terms of the historic argument. Instead he takes a close minded liberal, over simplified, colloquial interpretation of past events from a modern popular perspective. The first indication is the language he uses.
His scarred soul manifests a late 20th century gutter mind lacking any virtue.
His movies are action based entertainment, but reinterpret history in his personal lack of education.
Soundtrack is awesome but have not seen it.
Deep Purple, Vanilla Fudge, Bob Seeger, when California Dreaming began to die but still going strong.
He made one film that was Western, murder mystery and character study written on a level equal to David Mamet: “The Hateful Eight”. I think that so many good actors in one room made Tarantino trust them with lines, pacing and interpretation - they took his egotistical BS away and the film is great for it.
I’m concerned about his being turned loose on the “Star Trek” franchise. “When you docked in here, did you notice a sign in front of this base that said “Dead Klingon Storage”?
LOLOLOL.
>>Who else would envision the historic Manson gang massacre that gripped Tinseltown in a vise of terror as a comedy?
John Waters, in Multiple Maniacs
