Hobo With a Shotgun was designed to be so ridiculously over the top that it outdid even seventies Grindhouse flicks.
I think the director succeeded in that, and Hauer, himself said he had a great time in filming it. :P

LOL, I am well aware of completely bad and over the top films from the Seventies (Such as “Attack of The Killer Tomatoes!) but this one was, er...twisted!

The Roy Batty character is nothing short of iconic and one of those performances one never forgets.
One of my guilty pleasures is Ladyhawke. There's a lot about the film I really like, cheesy 1980's special effects notwithstanding.

He was extremely scary as the Psychopath in the Hatchet with C Thomas Howell and Jennifer Jason Lee.
The drawing and quartering via two big rigs was brutal.

Yes - the music is great. Used to go to a Renaissance festival where they played the title music at the falconry exhibit :-)

I love Ladyhawke. I even love the music. That was Andrew Powell, who did all the orchestral arrangements for The Alan Parsons Project.

So was Blood of Heroes.
Geez Rutger Hauer is one that really was supposed to live forever. I had, and continue to have a massive crush on him.
Dang - 75 is not old! (especially as I get older!!)
