Why I don't vote for Democrats
American Thinker ^ | 23 Jul, 2019 | Mchael Smith

Last week, a friend of mine offered that he thought that I was so ideologically bound to classical liberalism (i.e., conservativism) that I would never vote for a Democrat. Because he meant it as an insult — as in "you are so invested in your ideology that you can't even hear another side" — it bothered me, and that caused me to think about why I oppose progressive Democrats.

What I realized was that some of my opposition is, in fact, ideological — but the majority share of my current opposition is simply practical.

Democrats claim to offer a few things — this list isn't exhaustive, but it covers the big ones. Dems say, "We love the Constitution and can be trusted to make and apply laws sensibly. We know what equality is and can get it for you, and you can trust us: we are logical and reasonable."

So I took a few minutes to break down my own thoughts about these statements to see if my decisions were driven by ideology:

We love the Constitution: No. No, you don't. Not even a little. You and your minions are constantly telling us how that dusty old document hampers the progress you want to make. The Electoral College and all those troublesome amendments you want to restrict — or, in the case of the Second Amendment, to outright repeal — are evidence you don't care about the Constitution. And let's talk about those opinion pieces that come out every few years or so that state that nothing is acceptable short of junking the entire thing and coming up with a new one.

I don’t trust leftists because of their lust for power over other people and the games they will play to get it.

The problem is you describe Mitt Romney down to his magic underwear. There are progressives in “both” parties, now.

Romney, Graham, Rubio, Hoeven, Murkowsky, Alexander, there are lots of progressives wearing R jerseys who want to give the Democrats a permanent majority with amnesty for illegal aliens.

SOOOOOOO many reasons.

- They are out of their friggin’ minds. AOC is far more representative of mainstream thought in that party than anybody wants to admit.

- They are liars. We’ve seen plenty of Dems run as traditional values moderates (Bob Casey, Conor Lamb) only to turn around and vote with Pelosi lock, stock and barrel.

- Anyone with values and a conscience left that party long ago.

I’m from Florida, and we’ve seen numerous democrats elevated to the Senate who change their ideology once they get there. Lawton Chiles, Bob Graham, and most recently Bill Nelson are perfect examples.

I do not vote for a democrat at any level, because, like a weed, it’s best to cut it off at its root.

Good grief. Graham singlehandedly gave us a Supreme Court nominee and has been unapologetic in his support for trump. For the first time ever, I’d vote for him in South Carolina if I lived there.

Then you would be voting for amnesty for illegal aliens.
He has told us repeatedly that he will keep working for amnesty until he is removed from office.
He has said if you vote for him you are voting for amnesty.

Say goodbye to America

Mitt Romney down to his magic underwear

As an example of his faith, Mitt should have someone shoot him while he is wearing his magic underwear and prove to us all that it works

This is going to get deep and creeper then shit.
Democrats are creating a class system based on pity of what they believe are inferior races and sex. The history of this is even more creepy.

First lets try to understand they're self worth. The Klan (militant democrats) of the 1800's believed they where the superior race and was afraid of other races. Which is why they attacked other races. Today they have no fear. Which means there is no reason to attack them.

To understand this type of racism. "It's their culture" is a common statement now a days. Usually to disregard obviously bad things that culture does at the same time does not consider that to be a problem or a threat. Pick an example: such as: 9 year old girl marry a 52 yo man. Think logically what does that mean? "it's their culture"

Racial superiority of the modern liberals doesn't even think about what they're saying. Another example: "Drivers ID required for voting is racists" You tell me why is that racism? Is it because blacks does not have access to those types of ID required for voting? Think logically. Why?

Drinking fountains was place to socialize which is why some cultures where not allowed near it. Today they call it "safe spaces" which has exactly the same affect.

During days of slavery the slavers recognized what they where doing when they called their actions a "necessary evil." Slavers had to justify their actions. Today they believe racial superiority is an absolute. They don't even think about it

"I was constructed in a garage in Palo Alto'" - Hillary Clinton Feinstein, Pelosi, Jerry Brown, Jane Fonda, Harvey Milk and Jim Jones all hang in Palo Alto where Jim Jones lived.

Hillary didn't say she hung out with Jim Jones but she implies it. Jimmy Carter had a number of meetings with Jim Jones.

The history on how this evolved will make your hair stand on end. If you're interested look up "Peoples Temple in San Francisco" on Wikipedia they have a lot of it there

"... that you can't even hear another side"

The problem is I hear their side all too well. They can't hear our side. They call conservatives racists, Nazis, everything that conservatives are not. They intentionally misunderstand them just to falsely demonize them.

Hmmm, I don’t trust GOVT, as our Founders warned.

Seems there’s a PLENTY of party-plantation living on BOTH sides of the Uniparty.

Some (many? most?) on the (R) gladly support their ‘lil bit’ of Fascism: ‘public’ education, SS/MediXYZ Ponzi schemes, U.S. = world police, (some)drug war, etc.

The dimrat party has been taken over by the CPUSA.

That is why I cannot vote for any democrat even at the lowest local level.

They are evil people.

Yeah, I was talking to a leftie friend the other day and he kept asking how if we could agree on this issue or that, why I would still never in a million years concede to vote for the Democrats. What it came down to, I explained to him, was that the left believes the ends justify the means, and that is fundamentally dangerous, so no matter what stance they take on an issue, you just can’t trust them.

I think progressives just like the sound of the word progressive. It means that they are hip, cutting edge cool, stand out from the dull boring old racist past. But the reality is their identity politics is more racist anything imaginable. But does that stop them? No.

The Hitler youth saw themselves in the same light. They stood out from the dull, stodgy past and were taking Germany forward. They had cool uniforms and haircuts. The progressives today have cool jeans and beards. But underneath the shallow appearance is a remarkable lack of insight.

And the appearance is what wins a lot of people over — not reality. Even the idiot Van Jones wins people over because of his cool appearance. The point of this is that many people do what they do for the most cynical, superficial reasons. That’s why the the democrat party is the party of cool.

“There are progressives in “both” parties, now.”

Surely, but it’s worse with the Dems. They have completely taken over and enshrined it in their party platform. At least in the Republican party, the progs haven’t assimilated or intimidated everyone into compliance. They still regularly get tossed out by the voters when they go too far, except for those in “safe” moderate districts.
