Hello again, old friend. What you're looking at is the Harley-Davidson LiveWire, a very different bike from a very traditional motorcycle company. It's Harley's first EV, and the first EV from what I would consider a major, mainstream motorcycle company. At $29,799, it's also one of the most expensive. I was lucky to ride a prototype of this bike way back in 2014, and while I'm not entirely sure what's taken so long to bring it to production, I'm very glad to say that this thing was worth the wait.

I like it. :D
No way.
I ain't riding no hog that don't grunt.
From "potato, potato, potato", to "bzzz, bzzz"?
I think not.
Looks pretty cool but the 100 mile range isn’t very attractive....
Dress up like a pirate and ride in the middle of the road... Felt like a little abuse this good morning.
Limited range: 70 miles of highway range, 146 city.
Not for long “Easy Rider” trips, but fun while the batteries last.
Range needs to be tripled. That’s probably ten to twenty years out.
No thanks.
Yeah!
No.
Just what motorcyclist need, even less noise for cages to know they are on the road....
Prediction:
Death and accident rate will be higher for riders of electric bikes over combustion bikes once enough of them are on the road to do meaningful analytics
70 mile range is fine. It’s the recharge time that is stupid silly.
Bikers who are environmentally conscious? What would be the name of this biker club? The Tofu boys?
Overpriced, unreliable, late to the game. . .
Thats a modern Harley for ya.
Now, a Knucklhead. . . .
That my friends, is as they say, a Horse of a Different Color.
This week I bought a new electric lawn mower. It is far more than adequate for the job. I can believe a battery operated motorcycle is much more viable thn an all electric automobile.
It is very interesting. I doubt my Harley riding buddies would be interested though.
I wonder if it comes with a loudspeaker with a recording that emits the traditional Harley rumble and all?...LOL.
They’ve taken the world’s most efficient machine for creating the most noise from gasoline with the least amount of horsepower and turned it into...well....I dunno. :)
As with all electrical vehicles, range/charge time/price all have to change a bit before they become really useful.
I hope that this occurs. Petrochemicals are too valuable for us to just burn.
All the same, ‘would be nice to have this bike.
“70 mile range is fine. Its the recharge time that is stupid silly.”
Think about it...at 70mph...
Ride an hour, stop an hour.
Take one of those to Sturgis the rider will get beat up.
Stupid.
They are wimpifying and going after the skinny jeans crowd.
Likely will keep manufacturing off shore, too.
I will not buy their stock.
