Natalie Portman is female Thor announced Thor 4 director Taika Waititi. She played Jane Foster in the first two Thor movies. Pic opens Fall 2021.
No surprise here at Marvels Comic-Con panel, but Taika Waititi was on hand to talk about Thor 4 along with Tessa Thompson who played Valkyrie in Thor Ragnarok along with Chris Hemsworth. Why no surprise? News broke earlier this week that Waititi was returning to Thor. Hes also here for FXs What We Do In Shadows later tonight at the San Diego Convention Center. Thompson appeared earlier on HBOs Westworld panel.
Valkyrie will be re-investing in her people and rebuilding Asgard said Thompson. The love I feel for him is thunder, said Thompson.
Waititi was reading one story line by Jason Aron called The Mighty Thor which is what the fourthquel will be based on. That story line is incredible is full emotion, love and thunder and introduces for the first time female Thor, said Waititi. Thompson and Hemsworth havent seen the script yet.
Whats happened to Thor posts Endgame? Hes heading to the 7-11 for a little Netflix subscription and at this point he might be on the couch, who knows, said Hemsworth.
I thought Ms. Portnoy was a lesbo.
LOL
I haven’t seen the Thor movies, but I thought they had to write out Natalie Portman’s character because she didn’t want to do it anymore. I did see Endgame and noticed she was noticeably absent in an important scene where it looks like her part was built out of cutting room floor takes of other movies. That scene looks as awkward as when an actor dies before their part is finished, and they have to find some way to finish the movie. So if she hates the MCU that much, why would she be given a leading role?
Just a Comic. There is no Thor or Captain America.
The new black lady 007 is not named Bond.
“Thor” as an anorexic dwarf?
Past performance is no guarantee of future success.
I was an avid collector starting in 1962 - right after Atlas became Marvel. I know the “literature” far better than most.
I half-hated Endgame. I was disgusted by the God of Blunder, the God of Blubber. It was pure Political Correctness (Cultural Marxism): They would never do that to the Black Panther or Captain Marvel.
They had to redistribute nobility and authority away from the loathed white male. A 1500-year-old Norse God became a 30-year-old Couch Potato.
Disney/Marvel will no longer have the building momentum of Phases 1-3 to buffer weak offerings. My guess is they will start having some flops.
Star Wars was once invincible. Then they went Solo.
Do as you like. I certainly will. I am done with it.
Meanwhile, comic book shops are dying out soon to be replaced by overpriced SJW coffee shops.
THANKS MARVEL!!!
Next they’ll trash manga.
So, instead of writing new heroes or heroines for these actors and actresses, they’ve decided to do a full-court, balls to the wall cultural appropriation of “men’s” roles.
I’m sick of it, and I’m done.
Will a guy go out for the role of Wonder Woman? Will a man go out for the role of The Invisible Woman? Will Wasp become a dude? Will the Black Widow became about a black dude (pretending to be a woman) who lost his “husband”
I think they are trying to say that a woman can be Thor.
Just like a woman can be a Ghostbuster. And a woman can be 007. And a woman can be a Jedi. etc, etc, etc....
Sounds like “American Gods” on Starz.
She’s beautiful, but a bore as an actress.
I loved Endgame. Can’t wait to watch it again. I thought fat Thor was funny and made sense, given what happened before.
Thor was, is and will always be powerful.
Do you remember who removed Thanos’ head in the movie?
My favorite Thor, and one of my top three Marvel Studios movies was Thor: Ragnarok. It was a terrific movie. The director of that movie will come back to direct Thor 4.
I hear what you’re saying, but I don’t see it quite like that. The only two Marvel Studio movies I haven’t seen are Black Panther and Captain Marvel.
The Marvel Universe is massive, it spans galaxies. I’m comfortable in picking and choosing what I think will be good and what I think may not be good. There are still many tales to be told.
If you’re offended, just don’t watch. If there’re enough people who don’t like the movies and/or tv shows, revenue will drop and they will adjust.
As long as Kevin Feige is in charge, I will continue to pay close attention to their products, and will watch most, if not all, of them.
Solo is just confirmation that Episode VIII killed Star Wars after Rogue One gave us a false new hope that there are good stories yet to be told in that universe. There will be no Episode IX or any other stories for me after the dreck of Episode VIII.
For what it's worth, though, I kinda liked Solo but only as a caper movie not Star Wars. If you look at it as White Collar in space, it's not bad; if you look at it as Star Wars, and specifically as the young Han Solo who will grow into the Han Solo of the original trilogy, it's really bad on the same scale of bad as no way that the whiny Anakin of Episodes I–III turns into the biggest badass in the galaxy bad.
Th shark jumping in the movies continues and picks up steam.
Hardly new phenomenon after seeing a recent movie about the life of Elton John with the title role played by actor Will Smith ....
That is sick. Criminal. It is all part of the plan to destroy America. It is intentional and it is heinous.
