the host from CNBC turned to her and said, “you’re really rich- why don’t you write a big check?”...she then did nothing but give excuses why she wouldn’t write a big check from her own stash to fund things she believes in...

Yes, it can be hard on new hires; the union forces it for stage cast. After all, if a new hire came on with a pay equal to their members who have years in service, what would be the point of paying all those union dues?
And of course, the latest fight is over paying an additional $25 a month for family health coverage, the cost of the union preferred plan having gone up $225 per month for family plans.
I’m no fan of Iger, so I’ll just say that it’s the board’s business if they think he adds that much value to the company. But “foraging for garbage”? Really? They have a lot of turnover so surely there are former employees willing to go on the record as to whether this is happening and why
