Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, read the following on the House floor Tuesday night.
Madam speaker, pursuant to clause 2-a-1 of rule 9, I rise to give notice of my intention to raise a question of the privileges of the House, the form of the resolution is as follows. Impeaching Donald John Trump, President of the United States of high misdemeanor, resolved that Donald John Trump, President of the United States, is unfit to be president, unfit to represent the American values of decency and morality, respectability and civility, honesty and propriety, reputability and integrity.
Unfit to defend the ideals that have made America great, unfit to defend liberty and justice for all as is told in the pledge of allegiance. Is unfit to defend the American ideal of all persons being created equal as exalted in the declaration of Independence, is unfit to ensure domestic tranquility, promote the general welfare and to ensure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity as lauded in the preamble of the United States Constitution. Is unfit to protect government of the people, by the people, for the people as elucidated in the Gettysburg Address. And impeached for high misdemeanor that the following article of impeachment be exhibited to the Senate.

I left them in 1982 and I stayed too long.
After all, as has been pointed out, Mr Trump did not name any names. However, brave people stepped forward to declare themselves traitors...
Going nowhere for now. The Mueller testimony could be the trigger depending on what he alleges.
Green has been pushing impeachment since Trumps inauguration. There are not enough Dems to pass it in the House.
The New Deal, Dean Acheson wrote approvingly in a book called A Democrat Looks At His Party, conceived of the federal government as the whole people organized to do what had to be done. A year later, Mr. (Arthur) Larson wrote A Republican Looks At His Party, and made much the same claim in his book for modern Republicans. The underlying philosophy of the New Republicanism, said Mr. Larson, is that if a job has to be done to meet the needs of the people, and no one else can do it, then it is the proper function of the federal government. If youre expecting Republicans of such caliber to support the POTUS over their Uniparty brethren, dont hold your breath.
Here we have, by prominent spokesmen of both political parties, an unqualified repudiation of the principle of limited government. There is no reference by either of them to the Constitution, or any attempt to define the legitimate functions of government. The government can do whatever needs to be done; note, too, the implicit but necessary assumption that it is the government itself that determines what needs to be done. We must not, I think, underrate the importance of these statements. They reflect the view of a majority of the leaders of one of our parties, and of a strong minority among the leaders of the other, and they propound the first principle of totalitarianism: that the State is competent to do all things and is limited in what it actually does only by the will of those who control the State.

Trump will never give them the chance. If he sees a coup coming, Trump knows he can count on Constitutional militias, Bikers for Trump and probably 80% of the military to come to his aid.
Trump has sworn to protect the country. If that means arresting the traitors in Congress, so be it. We’ll be with Trump until the bitter end.
So stupid even a caveman can do it! Go al go!
Ha!
They are unfit to even poop on a political party.
Al Green, the last surviving neanderthal.
Right! When it snows in July in South Texas is when that will happen. This is the party that has made snatching defeat from the jaws of victory a science.
They spent so many years being the "loyal opposition" they don't know how to do any thing else.
It is really sad but they make the Keystone Cops look efficient.
The Democrats seem to be able to poop on the Republicans at will and even have a number of Pubbies join them in the effort.
In brief, Mr Green wishes to allege that the President is a poopy head.
Thats an insult to Neanderthals.
Interesting that they mention the Pledge of Allegiance which they have tried repeatedly to eliminate.
You can’t be a liberal unless you are also a hypocrite.
No kidding.
The impeachment text reads like it was written by a poorly educated person who thinks he’s quite the brain.
This, sad to say, is typical of many blacks in public life, not that it’s exclusive to them. One dead giveaway is using big words when small ones would do just as well. Also, there’s a certain tone or cadence to their words that is supposed to be profound but sounds merely pompous.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think anyone is going to mistake Rep. Al Green for Justice Clarence Thomas.
Ditto.
And is a baby killer.
Lock and load, people. Lock and load.
Green looks like an escapee from The Island of Doctor Moreau.
I trust the four Repuplicans who voted with the Democrats on this will be stripped of all committee positions and ostracized within the ranks as was done to Steve King, correct?
