(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

I read that article twice.
I am still not sure what they are doing. But they seem pretty happy about it. So, thats good.

They plan on using qudits to make widgets...

[”Photons are expensive in the quantum sense because they’re hard to generate and control, so it’s ideal to pack as much information as possible into each photon,”]
Means those Photon Torpedoes are really, really expensive.

Lotus Notes, Office 365, and Skype For Business still won’t be able to run with enough resources.

The more entanglement in the so-called Hilbert spacethe realm where quantum information processing can take placethe better. I don't know why a Hilbert space is "so-called," when the term is considerably older than the term "quantum entanglement."

"...Purdue researchers made operating the quantum gate deterministic as opposed to probabilistic." More rights violations... I know lots of photons which are "probabilistic" and forcing them to be "deterministic" is a clear case of deterministicphiles violating the rights of the "probabilistic" population...

It’s like totally the same, and totally different. Just like quantum physics.

Very interesting.
But is it qudits or qubits?
They have both in the article, clearly talking about the same thing.
To: BenLurkin
Will this improve the test pattern? Cool.

We’ve come a long way since Newton’s tidbits.

“They must use a caulking gun and a trowel and several buckets. Probably a sprayer, too.”
When they ask for a billion or so for further research we’ll pay closer attention.

True. Or road-work in my area.
We have two seasons: Winter and Construction.
