Making the words "F*** Trump" its battle cry, its rebel yell to rally itself, the women's World Cup team comes with a lot of wokeness. According to the Washington Times:
The World Cup teams activism is well established. Team captain Megan Rapinoe, who calls herself a walking protest against the Trump administration, accused President Trump of excluding people in a Tuesday interview on CNN.
Your message is excluding people. Youre excluding me. Youre excluding people that look like me. Youre excluding people of color, Rapinoe said in a message to the president.
Weird thing to say to a president who invited her to the White House, win or lose, but the hypocrisy doesn't stop there.
Here's the doozy the Washington Times based its piece on:
Jaelene Hinkle, a 26-year-old star for the North Carolina Courage professional team, has been called the top left defender in the U.S. game, but she wasnt selected for the national team a decision that may have had more to do with politics than prowess.
In 2017, Hinkle turned down a call-up from the national team for a pair of international friendlies after learning that the players would wear rainbow-themed jerseys in honor of Gay Pride Month. She said later that the uniform conflicted with her Christian faith.
I just felt so convicted in my spirit that it wasnt my job to wear this jersey, she told The 700 Club in a May 2018 interview. I gave myself three days to just seek and pray and determine what [God] was asking me to do in this situation.
Hinkle has not played for the national team since. After she was left off the World Cup roster, coach Jill Ellis told reporters that the decision was solely based on soccer, an explanation greeted with widespread skepticism.

Now Monica wants to portray her as the victim because they didnt invite her a third time?
She declined once, not twice. And Rapinoe kneeled during the national anthem while wearing a USA journey and was still invited back.
BS!
Fair enough, it was one invite for two matches.
Either way, it was her choice not to participate in essentially a practice exercise. I dont think she has any basis to complain and as far as I know she isnt.
Monica Showalter, on the other hand, is a desperate loser.
Shes willing to lie about the fact that there arent any blacks on the USWNT and claim that there are no Christians - a claim that she cant back up and that is almost certainly another lie.
I dont like dishonest click bait articles.
Sounds to me like she turned them down rather than the other way around.
Now Monica wants to portray her as the victim because they didnt invite her a third time?
You miss the point, which is; if you refuse to celebrate and promote degeneracy, there is no place for you the coming society. You wont even be able to work for a living.
Since the (anti) USA Women’s team easily dispatched their opponents, it was probably easy to boot some good players who did not toe the SJW line they were pushing. The competition in the World Cup looked pretty weak.
The reason she turned them down is made clear in the article: the team had gratuitously adopted a “pride” symbol as part of its uniform, which never should have been allowed. The national team represents all Americans, not just homosexuals. It is NOT the US Homosexual Team.
Thats funny. They invited her to come work with them and she declined.
Right, she turned them down and she seems to be handling the consequences of her decision like an adult. Good for her.
My issue is with the author who lies and misrepresents what happened in order to make a little more money from clicks.
Racial differentials in athletic performance are relevant in many sports, but so is the sociology of the game. I live in DC, which is quite diverse. Looking at youth sports, I would say that the black community lags in soccer participation. Football, basketball and track are dominant while soccer is far back. For white kids, however, soccer has become probably the dominant gateway sport into organized athletic competition, and for white girls, soccer remains the go-to sport through high school.
My daughter played on a reasonably competitive travel team that, about the sophomore year in high school, did lose one good player to track and another to lacrosse, but soccer remained by far the top sport for the stronger players. Even those who played multiple sports in high school prioritized soccer. By U18, they had one (very good) black girl out of 15 on the roster, which is within rounding error of "looking like America." Over the years, it was the weaker players who spent a lot of time on the bench who dropped out. I think the social dynamics and athletic preferences are different for the black kids.
Baseball is of course another interesting and much discussed case. Black youth participation has steadily declined in recent decades, to the point that MLB is worried about it. If it weren't for the Hispanic players, baseball would look a lot like soccer.
Anyhow, for what it's worth, the USWNT looks like suburban and small town America. There are outstanding black players but they don't dominate numerically. The NFL and NBA look like inner city America.
Fwiw, one of the appeals of soccer is that it is played by normal sized people. Raw speed is of course important, but so is endurance. And it is a high technique game with a strong premium on quickness. I think that combination probably cuts across the racial performance differentials that produce NBA and NFL levels of racial sorting. This, along with its low cost and accessibility even to very small kids, who can have great fun just chasing the ball, is a reason for soccer's global popularity.
Thats funny. They invited her to come work with them and she declined.
I see nothing funny about it at all. Apparently in your world, strongly held religious beliefs should e sacrificed in order to comply with the immoral demands of degenerates, ie; celebrating and promoting sexual immorality.
You seem to have this exactly backwards. No one asked her to compromise her beliefs and she didnt.
Surely you dont think the entire team should have to abandon their beliefs to accommodate her, do you?
The writer said the team is “almost all white”. Which means there are some non-white players, just not very many. Is that not accurate?
You have a reading comprehension problem. The team is the American National Team, not the American LGBTQ Team, not the American Christian team. If they want to fly colors, let be Red, White, and Blue. To require anything else of team members or potential team members is unreasonable. If you dont understand that, then there is no point in further discussion with you in your deliberate obstinance.
Hypocrisy BUMP
You probably don't know, because of course Monica Showalter didn't tell you, is after Hinkle turned down the two games she was invited to work out with the national team prior to the Tournament of Nations. She accepted and was in camp for three days before she was cut from the team - for soccer reasons according to the coach.
There was no rainbow Jersey issue with that tournament nor the World Cup - she just didn't make the cut.
It's true that the coach is gay so someone could claim that's why Hinkle was cut, but I haven't seen that evidence.
How do you feel about the author blatantly lying to you about there being no blacks on the team - something you can disprove with a 10 second image search - and almost certainly lying about there being no Christians on the team.
Is it OK to be so dishonest in an article ostensibly standing up for Christian values just to get people spun up and make a few more bucks?
Coach Jill Ellis is gay as well. Add the over the top vocal Bull Dyke Team Captain and a dozen other Stepford Indoctrinates and what you have is that Henkle never stood a chance.
Based on that stupid statement it's obvious you didn't even read the article.
She wasn't called up a second, let alone a third time. She was called up once in 2017 but she refused to play wearing a jersey that celebrated homosexuality and lesbianism...............And she hasn't been called up again.
In 2017, Hinkle turned down a call-up from the national team for a pair of international friendlies after learning that the players would wear rainbow-themed jerseys in honor of Gay Pride Month. She said later that the uniform conflicted with her Christian faith.
And I don't like idiots who make stupid comments without reading articles claiming the're nothing but "click baits" in order to justify their stupid statements........
There's nothing "click bait" about the source article at all.
Nice try.......
