The family of the 21-year-old California woman fatally attacked by a group of sharks last month during a Bahamas vacation says employees of the group they were with were ill-equipped to deal with the situation.
Jordan Lindsey, of Torrance, was snorkeling with mom Kami Lindsey on June 26 in waters around Rose Island, a small island close to New Providence, when at least three sharks began biting her, her father, Michael Lindsey, told ABC News.

Never go in the Water
Scuba diver joke
Q: “What is the knife for?”
A: “To stab your buddy and swim like crazy when sharks show up”
Not much you can do if they are interested.
Advice...look like a rock and don’t poke at them.
If I were in charge of the Bahamian tourist industry, I’d put a bounty on large sharks.
It sounds as though Kami had unrealistic expectations, such as the expectation that snorkeling in shark-infested water would be as safe as floating in your backyard pool.
It's very sad that this happened.
No one jumped into the middle of a shark attack? Really? Gosh, that’s surprising. /s
but I can’t swim ,LOL
There’s thousands of them in the Bahamas.............Gonna need a bigger bounty..............
“”” No one jumped in, the Lindsey family said in their statement. Shockingly, no staff mobilized to assist in any way. As [Kami] swam to Jordan and told Jordan to try to swim toward her, she thought certainly a boat would come to whisk them out of the water and harms way, but that did not happen. “””
So they expect the company to have boats at the ready? If they had no life guards, then they had no life guards. I don’t know what a lifeguard would do. Swim out there and punch the shark in the nose? Pry it’s jaws open?
Some rich(spoiled brats) people think nothing ever bad should happen to them because they’re rich.
School says she was a climate change advocate....does that mean she supported climate change? Sad nonetheless...but everyone thinks life is completely safe....it ain’t.
Feel bad for the Family, but what can you do if a pack of sharks go into a feeding frenzy. I would not expect someone to jump in. You would need a Shark spear gun with a loaded round, they do not sell semiauto spear guns I know of.
“The Sandy Toes website notes that guests must sign a waiver to participate and that the company “is not responsible for any personal property or injury to guests while on the excursion.”
If you are not sure, don’t sign it and don’t get on the boat or in the water. You made that decision. Be responsible for your decisions.
The tour company was up front. You need to be also. Sympathy is no substitute for stupidity.

Sorry...I meant to say “many think life is completely safe”...
It’s all about odds, when there are sharks in the water once in a while one will bite a human. If you were taking a walk in lion country, well sometimes the lion will eat you.
No one jumped in to help? They didn’t want to be bit either.
Are they saying that Aquaman was there and stayed in the boat? He’s about the only one who could have helped.
“Never go in the Water”
Especially if you’re on your period.
