(CNN) — A Florida man told Sheriff's deputies that he threw firecrackers under the bed of a sleeping 9-year-old girl in a "prank gone wrong," according to a post on the Okaloosa Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
Matthew Morrison, 44, of Crestview, Florida, was arrested Saturday after deputies responded to a home after the explosion woke the little girl.
The owner of the house where this happened told the Sheriff's office that Morrison lives in a tent outside the house and came inside without permission, according to the Sheriff's Office Facebook post. The homeowner told responding deputies he chased Morrison out of his house with a stick after the explosion.
Responding officers spoke with the little girl who said the explosion scared her, making her cry and shake, according to the Facebook post.
Morrison was arrested and charged with burglary, child cruelty without great harm, and possession of a controlled substance after deputies found two grams of methamphetamine in his pockets.

What an idiot. I think he just now figured out that it was not a good idea to sneak into a little girl’s bedroom and throw lit firecrackers underneath. The very notion that he seemed to be seeking ‘a thrill’ by scaring the crap out of a child makes me wonder if this wasn’t pedo related.
Her father shares in the blame for allowing a doper to live in a tent in their backyard. Maybe the tent dweller was a drug contact for the homeowner.
So, does Floriduh Man live outside the house, in a tent, with this owner’s permission???

Not sure they still make ‘em, but he had tear gas cartridges that looked like blank .22 ammo. After football practice I had a habit of soaking in a hot tub and doze. We had a one bathroom home with two sisters and he tired of yelling at me to get out. He shot the the rounds (2) onto the tiles over my head.
Now just for fun, he would put cherry bombs or silver salutes outside my bedroom window using a cigarette as the ignition timer. He could be sitting in his lounger and listen to me scream after the explosion. I wasn’t the only victim.
Dad rode the bus to work and would do the same thing to the old men who sat and whittled outside the 2nd National Bank in Ashland. The bus had a timing stop in front of the bank which gave him time to place a cherry bomb and cigarette timer behind a column and be back on the bus before it exploded. Old men, pigeons and bank guards would scatter.
Best BOL of a day loaded with them.

It sounds like the bum was/is living in a tent on the homeowner's property, with the homeowner's permission? That doesn't sound too prudent to me.
