I wonder what size of pretzel Justice Roberts can twist himself into over a question like this!

Very clever. Certainly a bright idea which should be taken
seriously.

NO wonder why democrats are campaigning in Mexico right now trying to flood us for the 2020 census with illegals in their districts (sanctuary cities!!!) so that they can rob other taxpayers through government spending allocations and then dump them for 9 years into rural areas for care!!!

They truly are satanic in their planning day to day. It’s all how to make taxpayers pour their pockets into the government tax layers (local, state, federal) and how they can avoid paying and keep/fill their pockets with gains through programs/grants.

I told my husband last night that LCRA bragged about $400K in grants, etc. that they bestow across their domain...this means they are charging outlandish prices for electric usage along with paying their employees premium salary and benefits on the backs of those who have to use them for electric services. It’s all a game of take-take-take...

Yes.

Far, far, far too many to count.

Yes.

The court didn’t imply any such thing. The court made clear:

“The Enumeration Clause permits Congress, and by extension the Secretary, to inquire about citizenship on the census questionnaire. That conclusion follows from Congress’s broad authority over the census, as informed by long and consistent historical practice that “has been open, widespread, and unchallenged since the early days of the Republic.”

The administration won on ALL the Constitutional issues.

The ONLY issue left is the explanation given under the administrative procedures act. All that has to be done is an explanation that isn’t “this is for the VRA.”

That’s it. Now, there is a procedure to be following in giving that explanation, but if the commerce department really wants it done, there is enough time between now and 10/31 to do it.

A lot of idiots out there bought the media talking points that the court “blocked” the question. It did no such thing. It simply demanded to clarify under the APA.

I suspect that some minion in commerce really doesn’t want to hustle and get this done before October, and that’s why we have the conflicting info from Commerce and the President.

Why would you want to rat out your neighbors on a written form with your name & address on it???

Great way to paint a target on your own family.
One of the most harebrained ideas I’ve seen here.

Illegals should be reported—preferably anonymously— to immigration authorities.

The CENSUS form is to COUNT the CITIZENRY.

ABC Good Morning Amnerica LIED thru their teeth this Saturday morning.

They said that ‘the citizenship question had NOT been on the census for over 70 years”. I am pretty sure that is wrong. I remember seeing the question on prior census forms I filled out & I am 79.

NO ONE seems able to challenge these wildly wrong comments.

Also-—EXACTLY HOW did Obama remove the question in 2010? A law thru Congress?

An Executive Order?

A Memo to Commerce department?

The DACA issue was NEVER a law-—

It was NEVER an Executive Order...

It ws ONLY a MEMO to Jeh Johnson to not bother the children.

If you will recall Roberts was nervous and flustered during the Obama oath of office back in 2009?

I think something was “wrong” (blackmail, someone was being threatened, something was afoot) and to this day Roberts has been a huge letdown.

Interesting yes?
