You don't have to post if you're not interested. But snarky remarks are welcome for laughs :)
Ok, I’ll check back.
Just from a basketball point of view this makes the Nets at least number 3 behind the Bucks and Boston. To make a run in the playoffs they will need a three point shooter.
And the Knick’s front office once again ensures their team will continue to suck in perpetuity.
That’s assuming Durant will be able to play.
Which is likely not to happen next season (2019-20).
Around $40 million a year. Wonder what the tax differences would be between Ksli and NY.
That is a hard injury to recover from in any sport. I am not sure I would put up that kind of money although I am sure there are contract clauses on his playing ability.
We are Warrior fans and while it is hard to see Kevin go, the Warriors did steal him from Oklahoma so can’t get too upset. Looks like Clay has resigned and Cousins will return. I like Boogie Cousins, hopefully the next season will see him fully recovererd and ready for action. A big man and with a better healed achilles, should be able to jump a bit better too. He’s not Durant, but worth the Warriors keeping. This also frees up momney to keep Dramont Green...who I think is the heart and soul of the Warriors. He really turned it on post season and did everything he could. One game, he single handedly turned it around.
Yeah, Yeah, I know...the Warriors and the Whitehouse...
I will miss Durant in a Warriors jersey and wish him luck and healthy recovery.
My local sports television station speculated that it will be a sign and trade deal. Warriors will sign Durant to a five year deal then trade him to the Brooklyn Nets. When Kevin Durant/Draymond Green fight became public last season, I figured Durant wanted to leave Golden State after the season ended.
When did the Nets leave NJ? Asking for a friend.
As I recall, they moved to Brooklyn for the 2012-2013 NBA season.
Great moves by the Nets. I would say this makes them a contender immediately, if not for the fact that Durant is going to be out virtually all next season. Regardless of that though, the addition of Irving and Jordan boosts them considerably.
Today’s NBA.
Top players collude and form the core of their core team. Then, they present terms to owners.
Do General Managers and Owners have a green light to fill out the balance of the roster?
“And the Knicks front office once again ensures their team will continue to suck in perpetuity.”
Been a Knicks fan for 55 years. Think it is time to go with Brooklyn.
I’ve been a fan since 1970, but the current owners make it impossible to care any longer. After they gave away Porzingis -the best drafted prospect since the missing link - to make cap space for a big get like Durant and/or Irving, I’ve held out hope. However, after missing the big fish, and then giving all that money to a player like Randle, it’s plain as day that the Knick’s culture is about losing and there’s nothing anyone can do to change it.
As long as the Garden continues to sell out, there is no reason to change things. Sometimes I wonder if this also applies to the Rangers. Because of corporate accounts that hold season tickets, tickets are given away without a care in the world.
Yeah, I’m going to become a Nets fan.
