I must make a recon of the Baltimore area where I want to move, check out some real estate. It's the green 'burbs for me, folks, out near the beltway--not the nasty downtown area. I will be taking I95 south out of Queens to B'more. I have a choice between July 15-19 of travel. Which day is best to drive down, and which daylight hours would be best to travel down?
Thank you for any knowledgeable input!
Any weekday. Start out before 0500. Youll be halfway to Philly before the traffic picks up. The earlier you start, the better. But under no circumstances leave after 0530.
Move to Baltimore are you nuts??? Left Baltimore 6 years ago never going back. I rather be bit by a shark here in Florida than spend a single day in that shithole. Good luck
There are lots of nice places on the outskirts of B’More - Ellicott City, Linthicum, Dundalk; lots of nearby access to the Bay, and rivers - and Ft. Meade.
I’d probably go NorthEast of Baltimore...
Unless it's for a necessary job move, or required by relatives, I just don't get it.
Minnesota has a great quality of life, and the taxes can't be any worse
than New York or Maryland; and I'm *sure* housing costs are lower.
There are only two things: the potholes and the cold.
(I'd add the liberals, but you must be used to those by now.)
That being said, I wish you all the best as a fellow FReeper.
