More of Trump coddling up to dictators - on the heels of last week's love-fest with Putin, no less...

Donald Trump is a tireless worker for peace in the world, breaking down barriers, a better tomorrow for everyone. While doing this, he puts America First. I don’t think anybody saw this side of him during the campaign. Today, looking back, it makes sense. He repeatedly said he wanted to make friends with world leaders and develop win-win relations with them. These remarks were twisted by the media into something sinister. If the media had any decency at all, they would apologize for what they did.

President Trump went a lot further into North Korea than I did when I visited the DMZ. Tourists at the DMZ can go into a conference building and step over the border there.

One thing about the DMZ is that it is considered dangerous. You have to sign a waiver before the visit to Panmunjom, and no children are allowed. The North Koreans have been known to attack at the DMZ, and the South Korean guards take up positions to reduce the amount of their body that is visible to their North Korean counterparts. They also wear sunglasses to look more imposing.

Their was a chart of North Korean attacks in the auditorium where we received our awareness briefing prior to going to Panmunjom. A few years ago, there were over 500 incidents per year, which had dropped to ~300 annually when I visited in 2016. I wonder how many attempts they are making annually since Trump has been elected.

Listening to some of the commentary on YouTube someone made a comment that I believe is true. President Trump has the courage to fail.

What this means (in my opinion) is that our President is not going to take a deal just to make him look good. He will walk away from a deal even if the media will shout from the roof tops that he is a failure.

How many bad decisions have our “leaders” got us into because they did not have the courage to fail.
