After U.S. women's soccer star Megan Rapinoe declared she's "not going to the f***ing White House" if the team wins the World Cup, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has stepped in to invite the team to tour Congress, according to The Hill.
Ocasio-Cortez extended the invitation after the U.S. women's national team won it's quarterfinals match against France 2-1, with Rapinoe scoring both U.S. goals.
"It may not be the White House, but we'd be happy to welcome @mPinoe & the entire #USWMNT for a tour of the House of Representatives anytime they'd like," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted Friday.
Rapinoe replied shortly after, saying "Consider it done."

Nancy is being pushed out by AOC. I'm secretly hoping that Nancy will finally decide she has had enough of AOC and launch on her A$$. Can't imagine any senior house member much less the house democratic leader letting any first term junior house member get away with the things AOC gets away with.

It seems the team has now accepted AOC’s Congressional invitation. I would like to see any federal funding pulled for FIFA in the future. This is a team that is not playing for the US, they are playing only to have a stage for their activism.
I support the women's team, because most of them are representative of all the little girls who play youth soccer and dream of winning a World Cup, scoring the winning goal, hearing the crowd roar. That said, they (the US team members) have a responsibility to those little girls to not taint something pure (athletic competition) with their own personal politics. The reality is that the vast majority of Americans, including President Trump, would have praised Rapinoe very highly for what she's done for the women's team, and not cared at all about her sexual orientation. It would never have come up.
The fact is that she has chosen to make her sex life an issue. What exactly is she up in arms about? America is likely the very best nation to be a citizen of if you happen to be gay.
Why Megan? Explain why without regurgitated talking points. You are a disgrace to OUR country and OUR team!Anyway,who gives any feks about what you think nor care what the barmaid from Bronx says.

The team’s not going to speak on it while competing for the World Cup. Focus must be on team coherence and winning.
The lezzie’s outbursts are putting the team’s morale at risk.
Is this wishful thinking? Maybe her teammates are also soulmates.
She should move to a moozlum country where they do one (or more) of these things to her: throw acid in her face, stone her to death, throw her off a tall building , rape her to death, lop her head off or????
