After U.S. women's soccer star Megan Rapinoe declared she's "not going to the f***ing White House" if the team wins the World Cup, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has stepped in to invite the team to tour Congress, according to The Hill.
Ocasio-Cortez extended the invitation after the U.S. women's national team won it's quarterfinals match against France 2-1, with Rapinoe scoring both U.S. goals.
"It may not be the White House, but we'd be happy to welcome @mPinoe & the entire #USWMNT for a tour of the House of Representatives anytime they'd like," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted Friday.
Rapinoe replied shortly after, saying "Consider it done."

Was there some athlete who refused to meet either President Clinton or President Obama? However, that athlete met only with GOP leaders in House and Senate? Was there anybody who did such a thing?

She should be removed from the team. She’s supposed to be representing the USA. If she wants to answer political questions apart from soccer and the US team, fine, but an intelligent person would have just said, “No comment.”

Someone should remind AOC that the HOR has welcomed many members(mostly of the Democrat persuasion) of the KKK. She surely must proud of that legacy.

There were some individuals from championship teams who declined the White House visit while obozo was president. The Ravens center and one of the Boston Bruins. They did not do alternative House visits....
Further, who elected Rapinoe as spokesperson for the USWNT?!
When football season season starts, these booter dykes will see just how small they are in the greater world of American sports.
Why do they allow themselves to be called women?
Take them down to the DC soup kitchen for lunch. That’s all that one deserves anyway.

The teams, the executives who didn’t stop it and most of all the fans who didn’t get up and walk out of the stadiums
