Lived in California in late 60s no earthquakes there but came back to Indiana and had one here. It was severe enough to crack foundations/basements of several homes.

What I felt here in Phoenix was very slight..not the earthquake itself. I am quite a distance from the epicenter. You are right 7.1 is NOT slight .

Thanks for the well wishes. I’m actually headed up to Yellowstone next Tuesday. I didn’t schedule the trip, but I believe we are staying around Gardner MT.

Dutchsinse had issued a watch for tonight’s earthquake.

He will be doing updates all night, every half hour.
The next update will be at 12:10 Central Time.
Dutchsinse has issued a four day watch for a half magnitude larger earthquake in California if the energy doesn’t spread east in the form of 4-5 magnitude earthquakes, as it usually does, through Texas/Oklahoma and then move north in the eastern U.S.
