The man accused of attacking "Pinky" the Flamingo at Busch Gardens back in 2016 was hit and killed by a truck while crossing the street in Orlando earlier this month.
Joseph Corrao was walking northbound from the eastbound right shoulder onto State Road 50 from Story Partin Rd. in Orlando when he was hit by a Ford F150 pickup truck. The accident happened on June 5.
He died of his injuries at the hospital. The driver has not been charged at this time.
Corrao had initially been deemed not competent to stand trial, but earlier this year was ruled competent and had a trial coming up in August.
In the original incident, Corrao was visiting the park with his family. Police say he reached into an animal pen in the Jambo Junction area, picked up Pinky the flamingo and threw her to the ground with enough force to nearly sever her foot.
Pinky later had to be euthanized due to the severity of her injuries.
Dead or not, it’s proper etiquette to ping.
Pinkys mob put a contract out on this guy. Corrao should have never crossed the Flamingo Mobsters.

Oh, that was a bad pun. Please Flamingo away.
Apparently, the guy wasn’t Built Ford Tough.
Dayum. Don’t mess with flamingos!
I’m mad. At myself.
Was a flamingo driving the truck?
He seemed to be direction disoriented, maybe under the influence of something.
I remember Momma always told us kids to STOP, LOOK AND lISTEN before attempting to cross the road, a railway track etc.
Of course if you grew up in Texas you knew to watch for wildlife, people, old refrigerators, and other assorted things in the middle of the roadway. When I was a kid Texas highways used to be littered with roadkill and the buzzards doing their cleanup work. Made driving at 90 mph a real thrill weaving through them while keeping eye open for other drivers and the occasional motorcyclist.
I'm told the roadkill was edible if you got to it before the buzzards and some of the best chili was made with roadkill. But never ask a Texan whats in is chili, it's s alway a secret recipe.
