The Brazilian branch of gaming peripheral maker Razer announced yesterday on Twitter that it wont be renewing its contract with influencer Gabriela Cattuzzo. The decision appears to be related to a Twitter thread from June 21 in which Cattuzzo said men are trash in response to her having been sexually harassed.
Razer Brazil framed the issue as being about gamers rather than gender issues. As gamers, we face every type of preconception and stereotype from the outset, and we will continue fighting so that this type of situation doesnt repeat itself, the company said in its statement, as translated by Kotaku. Razer Brasil reinforces that the opinions of its influencers do not necessarily represent or reflect the opinion of the business, which totally opposes any type of discriminationwhether it be due to sex, religion, political partyor any type of intolerance or extremism.
Despite Cattuzzos apology, Razer Brazil nonetheless distanced itself from her on Monday and announced it would not be renewing its influencer contract with her, all in the name of opposing discrimination and intolerance.

Well, some men ARE trash. Another truth being suppressed.
“Men are trash” is a very VERY mild statement by anyone’s standards today. She didn’t even spice it up with profanity.
She may have been being sarcastic or teasing. There must be other reasons. That’s like me saying “Girls are straight up Loco these days!”

B*ches be crazy.
Dont be surprised. Gamers are one of the few groups who have resisted the intersectional assault successfully.
Normal people have already socially ostracized gamers. Further ostracization by SJWs poses no discernible threat.
They have zero craps to give.
But they pay all the bills.
Good. Gaming is another area where the feminists just can’t bear to see boys and men have their fun without some SJW nagging them and telling them how toxic they are. It’s a small but encouraging sign when one of these women finally gets called to account.
What I don’t get is this “influencer” stuff. Why does anyone want to be influenced like that?
The new age...but sad.
I’ve had it ‘splained to me quite a few times, but I don’t understand twitter.
What’s it for, other than getting yourself into a world of trouble?
People on YouTube have been censured or kicked off YouTube for making the same comment, only about women. And that was in *jest*, let alone seriously.
So, yes, good on Razer to enforce a uniform policy instead of ignoring actual sexist statements against men while coming down hard on supposed sexist statements against women.
Razed make high end peripherals for computer - mouse, keyboards, etc. Easily 90% of their market is male. So Im pretty sure this was in the end a marketing decision to head off a backlash in their own buyer base. There is a growing number of quite outspoken younger 20-somethings that are very libertarian and have had enough of their older siblings social justice crap. You can find them on YouTube...when google hasnt banned them! They have more backbone than most republicans in Congress.
