Amazon announced Tuesday that its annual Amazon Prime Day will actually run for two days this year, starting at midnight PT on July 15. Last year, Amazon sold 100 million products during Amazon Prime Day, even though a glitch caused servers to go offline.
Amazon said last years Prime Day was its biggest ever, which means its plausible this year could be more successful since it runs longer. Amazons own products have been bestsellers. Last year, the Fire TV Stick, Echo Show and Echo Spot were among the top-selling products.

I’m a big user of Amazon, but have never bought a thing on Prime day. I just don’t see deals on anything I’ve been thinking of buying. Maybe I”m not doing it right...
Maybe I’ll pick up a new tablet. My old one won’t charge anymore.

"So George. You're proposing an Amazon Prime Day at Yankee Stadium."

And a company extends sales to more days because their inventories are low and their sales are killing records.
Retail is retail. They are not extending Prime days because they have “so many” deals.
I wonder what the reasons are.
Of course you're not doing it right! Don't you know that you're saving money, if you're not buying something that you can actually use? Buy! Buy! Buy!
So what if you don't need a left-handed widget! Buy five of them and get even bigger savings!
LOL!
They might do better if they just have days when they offer a blanket per-cent off on purchase. I’d use that.
I wholeheartedly agree with THAT idea!
Oh goody! Here’s my chance to invite Alexa into my house! /s
“Im a big user of Amazon, but have never bought a thing on Prime day. I just dont see deals on anything Ive been thinking of buying. Maybe Im not doing it right...”
you’re doing it exactly right: don’t buy stuff you don’t need just because it’s on sale ... the principle is the same whether stuff is on sale online or in brick and mortar stores ...
Because Walmart is starting to become competitive in their space?
I’m holding out for Amazon Prime Year.
Reduce the annual fee for prime and I’ll join. Not having prime, I send in an order when I have $25 worth of stuff, for free shipping. So what does Amazon do? they sit on the order for 4 days, then send it overnight!
With prime, the order is sent overnight, but they don’t sit on the order for 4 days.
Why buy more stuff you don’t need, especially from evil Amazon?
I’ve gotten a few things ‘overnite’ with prime. A lot of stuff does come in 2 days, but a lot that should actually takes longer.
-------EXCEPT for those monster packs of toilet paper.
Western Materialism at a one time only price.
Walmart 3-4 towns away is good enough for us. When I need something Wally World doesn’t have, then I try to look for it online anywhere but Amazon. However, items still get sent in Amazon packages so what the heck?!?
My hatred of Bezos might have me a bit deranged but I dream of the day he’ll have to rent a tractor/trailer to bring my asswipe. I’m considering taking orders around my neighborhood for 48 double rolls of Cottonelle for $20 and ordering it all at once.
