Tiffani Adams said she fell asleep while flying from Quebec to Toronto on 9 June. When she woke up, she was freezing cold and still buckled into her seat, but the aircraft was parked.
Ms Adams managed to call her friend Deanna Dale to let her know where she was when her phone died less than a minute into the call.
She was unable to charge her phone as the plane had been shut down.
Ms Dale called Toronto Pearson Airport and told them of Ms Adams' whereabouts.
While she was on board, Ms Adams managed to locate a torch in the cockpit of the plane and attempted to attract attention.
She was found by a luggage cart operator...
Ms Adams said that Air Canada staff offered her a limousine and a hotel but she declined, wanting to return home as quickly as possible.
Air Canada confirmed Ms Adams' account to multiple publications and said it was reviewing the incident.

If Only She Knew a Boy Named Sue- Sue sue sue- who can she sue?
Keep in mind, that when they report she found a torch, those silly limeys mean she found a flashlight.
Redheads, strippers, girls named “Tiffani” ...
Free drinks!!!!
She’s having :night terrors”
Pretty inexcusable, glad this woman was OK.
Understood. On the other hand I’m surprised she could get into the cockpit, if in fact that is what happened.
How could somebody sleep through an aircraft Landing and unloading. I mean that’s a lot of noise, she had to have been passed out from drugs or something.
Don’t the crew members do a check of the airplane after it lands, to make sure everyone has departed? I remember one time, I was in the next to last row, one of the last to deplane, and the flight attendants were doing a walk through, checking the overheads, and commenting to me that it looks like I was the last one on board.
Hey you freshie, stop it!
I found myself ‘home alone’ @ my local Target store!
I had to call 911 to get out. Police came. They had no way to get in/get me out...had to wait for store manager to arrive from home...
Yes, there’s a bit more to the story. Sort of embarrassing for me. Loss of job for the manager on duty and ultimately a change in procedures.
Still laughing.
Don’t blame her! Being left in your seat for hours after the AC landed has no excuses! Getting into the cockpit is even worse. Fire the whole damn crew!!!
The total flight time is an hour and 1/2. So she fell asleep in that time and woke up how many hours later? Something does not make sense here, but note it is the BBC reporting. Let the report shake itself out, hopefully with more facts.
Oh I agree it’s totally the crews fault. However a flashlight could have been available in the crew area or the food prep area I don’t think that would have to be in the cockpit.
I hope for her sake that the restrooms were still unlocked.
But what about her luggage?

OMG! Did she set the plane on fire?
It ended up in Newark, of course.
It’s still spinning around on the carousel.
