The total flight time is an hour and 1/2. So she fell asleep in that time and woke up how many hours later? Something does not make sense here, but note it is the BBC reporting. Let the report shake itself out, hopefully with more facts.

I hate flying so after decades of conditioning I go right out on departure, no big deal.
You don't seem to be able to imagine that the lady here may have been on the last leg of multiple flights.
For all we know, this one-and-a-half hour flight might have been the last one on her way home from, say, Mumbia, India.
She may have thus been in an extreme state of sleep deprivation even before boarding this last plane.
Heck: She may have simply had a rotten night prior to her flight, had a bad cold, taken cold medicine, etc.
There is no need to begin speculating that something "fishy" must be going on with this woman.
