John Cusack blames ‘a bot’ after retweeting, deleting anti-Semitic meme

Actor John Cusack sparked outrage on Twitter Monday when he retweeted an anti-Semitic meme — and then repeatedly defended the move — before claiming he was duped into sharing the post by “a bot.”

“Follow the money,” Cusack tweeted, along with an image of the earlier post, which showed an illustration of a hand with the Star of David imposed on it crushing a group of people.

“To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize,” the post said, quoting French Enlightenment writer and philosopher Voltaire.

Cusack fired off the retweet around 7 p.m. — and it didn’t take long for Twitter users to respond...

The “Say Anything” star tried to his best to do damage control in a series of follow-up tweets, but not before going on the offensive.

“You think Israel isn’t commuting [sic] atrocities against Palestinians?” Cusack said in response to one angry tweet. “What planet are you on?”

The actor continued, “Palestinian [sic] are forced to live in an open air prison. That’s not anti semetic to say that – that recognizes their plight as part of the fight for justice.”

Eventually recognizing the error in his ways, Cusack said: “A bot got me- I thought I was endorsing a pro Palestinian justice retweet – of an earlier post – it came I think from a different source – Shouldn’t Have retweeted."...

...Asked about his “follow the money” comment, Cusack simply said: “War inc bubbah.”...

And who are we not allowed to criticize? In political entities, Islam!!
Dump on Christians and Jews all you want, are encouraged to. But Muslims? Face the wrath of Khan and Schumer and an increasing number of ordinances.

The left always chicken out when confronted. That’s why they alway pull hit and run crap.

And BTW: I suggest William Barr subpoena Moby. I just found this on his Wikipedia page:

“In June 2013, Moby and numerous other celebrities appeared in a video showing support for Chelsea Manning.[151][152] In January 2018, he stated that he was approached by friends in the CIA and told to post and spread content on the Trump–Russian collusion allegations through social media.”

John Cusack has become a full-time ass. Recently, he refused to stand during a pregame ceremony (which coincided with the start of the Memorial Day weekend) honoring the Armed Forces at Wrigley Field. He claimed that he did so as a form of protest to express his hatred for American militarism.

Most of this has been actor’s latest performances have bombed and many go directly to DVD without a theatrical release.

He is a clueless individual who does not merit your continued attention or patronage. He needs to be an actor because his own thoughts and opinions are not worth listening to. He needs to be scripted by someone else because he is a pathetic human being.

A leftist actor from 80s John Hughes comedies who’s currently on a tour of civic owned concert halls.

This publicity stunt should be ignored. The 80’s actor is just hunting for a new role.

There absolutely are grains of truth in what Cusak is saying:

If you let out a peep about, “Hey, uh...maybe this isn’t our war, maybe a country with $23 trillion in debt should maybe not turn 7 simultaneous wars into EIGHT” you WILL get some people calling you a Nazi.

They might crank it back to something more tame, like, “You’re an outdated isolationst” or, “You don’t care enough, you don’t care about the suffering of the outside world”.

You might get something like that.

But in fact Cusak is partly right.

Technically, Voltaire didn’t say, “To learn who rules over you, look to those whom you cannot criticize”. Very many people attribute that quote to Voltaire, and I feel the truth of the quote, yet Voltaire didn’t say that.

I don’t like Cusak’s politics in general, since he’s a liberal, but in fact over the years the USA is getting crammed into wars that aren’t hers.

And it’s true we are now in 7 wars at the same time.

Sometimes we enter wars that aren’t really ours for Saudi Arabia, but usually it’s for Israel, who has very, very great influence over DC.

Quite apart from the problem of undue outside influence, if you look honestly at US history, you will see that USUALLY we enter wars over false flags, so we should be wary:

Civil War - Lincoln orders “re-supply” of Fort Sumter. South sees approach of North ships after clash, imagines hostility, firing begins. Lincoln ordered to do the one thing everyone said would bring civil war, and it did.

Spanish-American War - USS Maine blows up in Havana Bay. Hearst did it? The picture is unclear. Did the Spanish do it? No.

WW1 - Lusitania sinking. Destroyers needlessly withdrawn, ship sent into MOST dangerous area possible, Lusitania was packed with war munitions. Germany did it, but it seems some people wanted them to.

WW2 - Pearl Harbor. This one is very controversial, some say FDR knew, some say he didn’t.

Vietnam - Tonkin Gulf attack when there wasn’t any

Gulf War 1 - “Incubator babies thrown on floor” was total BS, didn’t happen.

Gulf War 2 - Towers fell, “Saddam did it..!” Wow, that was fast.

Other eggregious ones omitted for brevity

Today, there is a lot of money being made by some people with a lot of influence, or political pull by war, My FRiend. Neither they nor their families are in any danger of being killed or permanently maimed for life. All they have to do is rake in the money with both hands.

Except it's not a quote by Voltaire.
