Synopsis for those of you that don't want to watch 20 minutes of Alex Jones going crazy.
Basically, he's being sued by the Sandy Hook parents. He had to provide email discovery, in which 12 unopened emails with embedded child porn were found. He's offering $1 million for whomever can help convict the person that sent those emails and is suggesting that Sandy Hook prosecutor Chris Mattei is the one responsible as it's pretty much ensured that Alex will win in court or on appeal due to 1st Amendment rights.
It’s called weaponizing social media.
Of course. He may be bad news for our side of the political dynamic, but that doesn't mean he deserves to be framed for kiddie porn. I'm not saying that.
However, he's so crazed and hyperbolic, so over-the-top in his rhetoric, I don't feel any instinctive desire to want to defend him or think the best of him, even in this case.
I think he's just trouble, someone to steer clear of. Everyone meets people like that sooner or later. It's not really that big a deal.
As I've said before, I really gave Alex Jones a chance during and after the 2016 election. I just got tired of the constant drama and making himself the story. To get one increment of factual news from him, you have to sit through 20 increments of him ranting and raving and talking about his secret sources and all the threats and attacks he has to endure, his overheated delivery, etc.
I'm sure Rush Limbaugh has endured all kinds of shenanigans over the years, attempts to entrap him, attempts to embarrass him, etc. He rarely if ever mentions any of them except once in a great while an oblique reference to something. He doesn't self-promote to an annoying degree, although he does have slow days and not-so-slow days. I can live with that.
Anyway, just because Alex Jones is a hyperventilating blow-hard doesn't mean he's not the target of a child porn setup. I hope the FBI finds who did it.
If you know about a threat to JR or to FR, why keep it a secret? Have you told him?
I wish Jim would do the same with those Q nutcases, a waste pf storage and bandwidth.
I wish Jim would use an anti-fungal on this site, but we cant have everything, can we?
Well said, I can suggest a few.
Does this mean the Kennedy family can sue people who write books saying Oswald was a patsy for the Deep State CIA or that the Bushes/Clintons took out JFK Jr. for naming his magazine “George” as the person responsible for killing his father before he ran for the NY Senate seat Hillary wanted in 2000?
I think Jim Robinson is right to keep him at a distance. Hes a drama queen, constantly exaggerates, constantly promises big bombshell breakthrough game-changing developments that never happens, and makes himself the subject of everything when hes not interesting as a person other than as an example of a loony-tunes right-wing nutcase.
Totally agree with everything stated and to that I say so, I have never bothered to waste my time listening to Alex but when I watch what’s happening to Alex I have difficulty in honestly believing that the 1st amendment is as solid as it should be.
Bill Binney was recently asked about that ‘17th letter’ in an interview. He said that he pays no attention - it’s a distraction, and he doesn’t allow distractions. In his words, “We don’t pay them no never-mind.”
Good enough for me. I figure Mr. Binney knows more about ‘things’ than anyone spouting on these threads does...
I have no idea what this refers to, nor the reason for your reply—but I have a great dal recipe to share with you.
Thats the reason that I had to think about that headline for a bit- it didnt make sense.
The story is distressing, because it continues.
It was not just a one time dumping.
I don’t get how this is allowed. Many of these people are from The Congo in Africa. The Congo is now experiencing a huge second epidemic of EBOLA! If true, heads should be rolling.
I don’t get why that is not happening.
Well, if it’s as good as your hummus recipe, I may be interested.
(Bluefish, however, is a verboten subject between us.)
Just because Alex Jones may be melodramatic hysteric, he still has all the rights of any American citizen and if those rights are being violated, it should be the concern of all of us.
And after Jim Robertson, they'll go after Jim Thompson!
AJ is a disinformation agent for a 3 letter agency. He exists to throw chaff into the face of real investigators and reporters.
Well, if he took his computer to be repaired by the Greek Squad, that’s probably where the porn came from, since they get kickbacks from the FBI for ‘discovering’ it.
He may not be your cup of tea but he is being harassed by many of the most powerful corporations in the world who want him shut down. People should support him if they believe in free speech because once they have destroyed Jones they will start on any other groups they dont like.
He’s got just as much right to be considered THE PRESS as anybody or any other organization on the planet.
Hes got just as much right to be considered THE PRESS as anybody or any other organization on the planet.
Fair enough, and I agree with both of you.
