UAW has tried and failed to unionize several of the “trans-plants” for years. Southerners don’t like labor unions - that is especially so with the UAW which drove the domestic auto manufacturers into the ground. Everybody can see what its turned Detroit into.

Of course the union scum will seek another vote and another, until the workers get it “right”.

excellent, Also just to note the UAW has also tried to get into the NISSAN plant in Smyrna, Tn over it existence since it was built a long time ago. I think they have had a half a dozen votes on it over about ?40 years since that plant was built.

$800 million and the union thugs don’t get a penny; sounds like great news to me.

Very smart.VW’s best strategy is to pay line workers about the same as UAW workers, give them about the same benefits and remind them that compared to UAW members they get the same with no strikes and no union dues.

The UAW President makes $200K/yr...and you can be sure that there's a sweet benefits package that goes with it.
And you can also be sure that there are at least a thousand others who are making $100k/yr...plus.And that kind of money goes a long, long way in states like MI,OH,IN and KY.
