DUBAI (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump blamed Iran on Friday for attacks on two oil tankers at the entrance to the Gulf despite Tehrans denials, stoking fears of a confrontation in the vital oil shipping route.Iran has dismissed earlier U.S. charges that it was behind Thursdays attacks that crippled two tankers and has previously threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of globally consumed oil passes, if its oil exports were halted.
Thursdays blasts followed a similar attacks a month earlier on four tankers, which Washington also blamed on Tehran.
Asked how he planned to address Tehran and prevent any further incidents, Trump told Fox News: Were going to see.

Fears of what and by whom?
I thought they had actual film showing an Iranian ship getting to the torpedoed ship to remove an unexploded landmine.
Look at Reuters....they refuse to blame the culprit and again make it seem like Trump is the aggressor.
I f-ing loathe the mainstream, Commie, lying media.
Iran, VJ, Obama and the DNC want Trump to attack.
Trump is not stupid
They do. You can see Iranian ships removing evidence like Hillary smashing an Iphone.

It's a UN matter right now.
The reason I voted for Trump is that hes smarter than all those experts calling for a military response or war with Iran. Attacking is what Iranwants us to do because Trumps sanctions are working and the mullahs cannot bear them. Overt military confrontation changes the political equation to Irans advantage. Deny the gambit, and double down on what is apparently working so well.
This wouldn’t be the first time CIA lied to Trump, the NYT had to walk back a story and make a correction 2 months after the truth came out.

Why doesn’
t the Media ask Iran’s best bud John Kerry what really happened? Hell he was more than likely in on the planning of this attack.
You bring up some good points. As I often say — Trump is much more patient and disciplined than many people expected. Trump will weigh options and respond at a time that puts him in an advantage.
Good! That's it... End of our business... Now let the Saudi or chicoms (or whoever else was going to get the oil) take care of the problem... As long as the tankers are not "true" American ships with American crews, it is none of our dang business!
IIRC, the Iranian's were removing an un-exploded mine from a Japanese flagged ship. That is the narration I heard during the video I saw on the local news in the Chicago market this morning.
Can someone shed light on the question of how a magnetic mine is stuck to a ships hull above the water line?
Did a boat pull up along side and stick it there? If so why?...I mean that is not what one would do to sink it.
Not our circus, not our monkeys. These vessels were Japanese and Norwegian. Let them attack Iran. Unless our vessels or assets are attacked, we should stay out.
That doesnt say that we shouldnt have a few trolling missions ongoing, however...
so the Iranian attacks on the ships doesn’t raise any fears of confrontation
its only someone mentioning it that alarms Reuters?
Serious FReepers (not the the phony-a** Putinista pretenders, who it seems have been coming out of the woodwork on this, like the stinking cockroaches that they are), should know, given that the Obama-Hillary/DNC camp were caught red-handed colluding with the Russians, Iran's puppet master, in the 2016 elections, as well as years prior, via all the sweetheart deals comrade Obama made with Putin to strengthen Russia's hand militarily, including several very bad (for us) deals on missile defense, the New Start nuke treaty, the Putin-loving Iran deal, Hillary and Obama's Uranium-One deal!, Russia could very well be behind this attack, using their idiot pawns in Iran as the provocateur.
Thanks Reuters for letting us know on who's side you are on...
