An ex-student of the $40,000-a-year Washington DC private school attended by former presidents' children, is suing the institution after she failed to gain unconditional acceptance from 13 top colleges. Dayo Adetu who attended Sidwell Friends School from 2000 to 2014 claims in a lawsuit that the school acted against her in college applications, test scores, rankings and recommendations, after she had previously settled for $50,000 in a July 2013 discrimination suit. Adetu's parents Titilayo and Nike Adetu had accused the school of using 'biased, improper scoring' and claimed they accommodated for other students' involvement in athletics but 'steadfastly refused' to do the same for their daughter, mainly when it came to mathematics.

Then what’s her complaint??? The University of PA is an ivy league school. It’s where Trump went.
The Negros have the white Liberals tied around their little finger.
Starting in 2000, Dayo Adetu attended Sidwell Friends School, a legacy institution
that Sasha and Malia Obama attended. It is widely known as a feeder school of
Ivy League institutions.
Adetu’s relationship with the school began to go awry in 2011. Adetu’s older
sister, Lola, had also attended the school, but had issues that led to a discrimination
complaint filed with the D.C. Office of Human Rights.

She’s attended the school

“I bet this student was fed four years of Social Justice crap at Sidwell now it has come back to bite them.”
Exactly. They created this high-powered SJW torpedo, and she aims to sink them.
There really isn't, I graduated from West Virginia University. I was hired on to an accounting firm with graduates from Stanford and Harvard Business. I now have a higher position in the company than either. An Ivy League college might give you a better chance of getting hired to your first job or it might allow you to bargain for a better starting salary. But after that it all comes down to performance. It doesn't matter if you graduated with top honors from Harvard, if your performance is lacking your educational background won't matter for very long.
So the colleges saw that the litigious troublemaker sued their school and opted not to become the next school to be sued. What’s not to understand?
Are you kidding? She’s one of the Elite. EVERYONE has promised her a rose garden!
She’s just pissed that they didn’t deliver.
That’s the problem with these liberal, elite foreign nationals. They sneak into the U.S. and all of a sudden, they are the smartest people on the planet. Maybe their little Dayo isn’t really as smart as she thinks she is.
She went to Sidwell for 13 years? You would think at some point there would be indicators that her transcript and scores were not up to par.
No kidding. I'm a farm kid from Utah that graduated from Weber State University and managed to get a sales job with Xerox in 1967. Didn't take long to outdo all the Harvard and Stanford elitists.
Who is it that folks are complaining have privilege?
Sidwell ought to challenge the family to waive all privacy considerations and allow the school to defend itself publicly.
Some enterprising university ought to create a new, peer reviewed academic journal devoted to Inconvenient Truths and fill it with accurately reported, no-holds-barred SJW horror stories. This could be a feature story for the lead issue, "When Affirmative Action Goes Wrong."
I bet her parents are secretly happy so she can go to a college that costs less than high school.
Did she ever hear of having a backup school on her list?
Absolutely correct...seen it with my own eyes...
Thank you - I really needed a laugh.
Maybe you know, try working instead of college? Save money that way.
College later, say 25. Also, don’t spread’em if you can’t afford what comes out.
I am a lawyer who has worked in law firms and in business. I have worked with many folks from the top schools in the country. Of the three most talented people I have worked with in my career two were from the University of Maryland and one did not graduate high school.
Wonder if the writer needs a better education......from the article:
“”Even the children of Presidents Nixon and Eisenhower attended the DC school.””
That would be a surprise to President and Mrs. Eisenhower if they were still alive...they didn’t have any under age children when they were in the WH.
Try welding or plumbing
