There really isn't, I graduated from West Virginia University. I was hired on to an accounting firm with graduates from Stanford and Harvard Business. I now have a higher position in the company than either. An Ivy League college might give you a better chance of getting hired to your first job or it might allow you to bargain for a better starting salary. But after that it all comes down to performance. It doesn't matter if you graduated with top honors from Harvard, if your performance is lacking your educational background won't matter for very long.
No kidding. I'm a farm kid from Utah that graduated from Weber State University and managed to get a sales job with Xerox in 1967. Didn't take long to outdo all the Harvard and Stanford elitists.
Absolutely correct...seen it with my own eyes...
I am a lawyer who has worked in law firms and in business. I have worked with many folks from the top schools in the country. Of the three most talented people I have worked with in my career two were from the University of Maryland and one did not graduate high school.
Lol, except in govt.
