Within the first hour of its opening day, Universal Floridas latest Harry Potter rollercoaster has amassed a staggering 10-hour wait time as thousands have descended on the park on Thursday in search of a magical thrill.
Taking two years and more than $300 million to build, Hagrids Magic Creatures Motorbike ride in Universals Island of Adventure promises to take park-goers on an otherworldly mile-long adventure through the famed Forbidden Forrest if they can actually get on the ride, that is.
Die-hard fans who wanted to be among the first to sample the new coaster arrived before the sun came up in the early hours of Thursday morning, but many of them were likely to have still been stood waiting long into the afternoon.
Universals Orlando mobile app is currently estimating waiting times of between eight and 10 hours as of the early afternoon.

I call Universal HarryPotterLand.
Are they offering tickets so guests can leave and come back to their place in line at a later time?
I bet Hermione could fix it.
And the first thing your kid says
after climbing out of the ride,
will be, “Is that all?”
When “The Mummy” first opened up at Universal, it was a really long line that snaked through an Ancient-Egyptian-Themed maze that seemed to go on forever. The line was much longer than the ride itself, which was fun but not worth the wait.
Not for this ride.
Sounds like fun...but I HATE lines.
10 hours.
What if the park closes while you are still in line?
What about the wait times for their new Jurassic Park exhibit?
