Thanks for the heads-up. Was thinking of seeing this with friends this weekend, agent SJW’s comment here just put it in the “no” column, maybe ahead of the Elton John LBGTQ-a-thon.
Looks like it’s “Secret Life of Pets 2” or nuffin’.
Silly woman. The action audience is overwhelmingly male, so they want a male lead. Just like in romantic movies, the lead is female. When you try to flip the script, you are trying to repeal the laws of gravity- it can be done but only under special circumstances and conditions.
I am *NOT* going to go see this movie. The name of the franchise is "*MEN* in black."
Trying to shove more "Warrior Princess" crap down my throat is not going to work.
I wouldn't object to it so much if this wasn't like the nth iteration of them pulling this sort of thing.
Tired of them taking male roles and turning them into female roles. They seem intent on deliberately undermining the male "warrior" role in movies so that they can do the same thing in life.
The latest dictum handed down by the PC police is, claiming to be “bisexual” is now verboten.
Because “bi” suggests there might only be TWO sexes.
Will Smith is a high paid goofy Stepin Fetchit and the original movies were almost as stupid as Twister. Ill pass.
You’re welcome. I’ll be skipping this movie too.
Just another poser movie.
“Woman” is the exclusive term, not “man.” “Man,” as in “mankind,” includes women as well. As in the Hebrew/Yiddish noun “mensch.” It is not exclusive to either sex.
Woman, OTOH, in all cases refers only to those lacking boy parts.
Bull. sh1t.
When will they learn they’ve already said too much, and by continuing to talk it underlines why for many, many years the rule was for them to remain quiet.
Nobody will watch a movie where the protagonist is female, unless being female is the point, and the message to the movie has a universal appeal. (Maggie Thatcher bios?)
Haven’t seen one about Golda Meir. You’d think they’d do some sort of ‘Game of Thrones’ style mini-series on Catherine the Great.
According to Nick Redfern, there are actual reports of Women In Black. If they made a movie based on those reports, it would probably be a fairly interesting and creepy movie. But, yes, they would just to a cartoony rehash of the MIB franchise, and it would fail like Ghostbustettes.
