The Mean Mower can also reach a top speed of 150.99 mph, Honda said. (Honda)

Honda said they developed the V2 with Team Dynamics, a British Touring Car Championship partner, using computer-aided design, bespoke parts and 3D printing.

Has about as much in common with a lawnmower an an NHRA top fuel dragster does.

Sounds like something Tim Taylor would have done on Home Improvement.

Two questions. Was Tim Allen involved? Was the grass properly cut?

Useful number: 20 mph-per-second is ~1g.
So this thing can accelerate at 3g.
Top fuel dragsters reach almost 8g before they hit 200 mph. Their engines generate ~7000 hp for one second or so.

Love Honda products that are out on the edge. Had a S2000 when I commuted into the city, sold it and bought a Pioneer 500 for out at the ranch... both perfect for their uses.

Cool! But I detect a need for a little aerodynamics in that bad boy. Might be able to get the average down to 6.28 seconds.

I bought one today. It goes as fast as I can push it and at age 72 that is not very fast.

Impressive but an electric powered mower would have been faster.

Lessee... 1/2 acres is about 220 by 110 feet... should easily be able to cut a 5-foot-wide path, so figure 22 passes... 22 x 220 = 4840 feet... about half a minute to do a lawn...
