A Florida woman accused of killing her husband was once his stepdaughter, according to a report.

Michael Redlick, who was found stabbed to death in January, fell in love with Danielle Redlick after her mother — and his second wife — lost her battle with cancer, according to WFTV. Authorities came to the conclusion that he had married Danielle’s mother to help with her medical coverage.

“In fairness to Mike, Danielle’s mother was dying of cancer when they were dating,” a family friend told the station. “She had terrible insurance.”

Records obtained by WFTV painted a turbulent picture of Michael and Danielle Redlick’s marriage. She claims that he flew into a rage in their Winter Park home after finding texts sent from another man.

Michael Redlick was stabbed in the shoulder during the ensuing altercation and died from his injuries, and his wife was charged with murder.

Danielle Redlick told investigators that he cheated on her and they had separated before deciding to move back in together, according to records.

She said the night before the stabbing he was “following me around the house,” according to WESH.

“I locked myself in the bathroom. He broke the door open. He was scaring me, so I decided to leave,” she told cops.

Danielle Redlick would also claim that her husband stabbed himself and may have had a heart attack, according to WESH.

Their children are expected to testify during the trial after telling cops that Danielle was often the aggressor during their arguments, according to WFTV.

Michael Redlick, who was 65, was a faculty member at the University of Central Florida and had previously worked as an executive with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Ray Stevens has done a lot of social commentary in his music. My favorite is “people’s court” where he lampoons America’s cavalier embrace of romance and divorce.

I hadn’t seen this one before, but is does have Ray Steven’s finger prints all over it. Thanks

I don’t see how that paints “Mike” in any better light.

“I don’t see how that paints “Mike” in any better light.”

His marriage to the mother was a fraud to get her health insurance, which she needed because she had cancer.

So he committed fraud, but is not really a weird bigamist.
