Durant has a player option next season for $31.5M, so with a torn Achilles he will opt in and be with GS next year.
Knicks are screwed because they cleared their roster of what talent they had in hopes of signing Durant and Kyrie Irving.

I look at the NBA like I do pro wrestling. It’s all predetermined. Too much money involved for this to not be dragged out to game 7 where GS wins it all. The injury is just part of the story line fans are being sold.

Durant has a player option next season for $31.5M, so with a torn Achilles he will opt in and be with GS next year.
Given that the Warriors medical staff cleared him to play, I wonder if he might not trust them completely to manage his recovery next season. I'd love to see him back even on the 1 year option - he might just recover in time for next year's post-season.
