The Trudeau government will ban single-use plastics as early as 2021, CBC News has learned from a government source.
Plastic straws, cotton swabs, drink stirrers, plates, cutlery and balloon sticks are just some of the single-use plastics that will be banned in Canada, according to the source.
This is part of a larger strategy to tackle the plastic pollution problem that the government is expected to announce Monday.

Government has clearly stepped into the zone of “working” against us——they hate for us “peons” to have conveniences and joys in life.

Another example of why Canada is the worlds worst underachieving nation. With all they have they are a tenth of what they should be. Instead they have embraced every bad idea we and Great Britain ever had and made it much them worse. To think how close we came to having it part of the US, just imagine.

We found a plastic straw. You cannot enter Canada and need to return to the US.
And will they include plastic soft drink bottles of all sizes, plastic milk jugs, plastic containers of condiments that are sold in grocery stores?
And prescription bottles, breath mints, EVERY product sold in stores in a plastic wrapper.

As a Canadian I concur which is why I am skeptical of the new employment numbers that show they are the lowest in 27 years. As a Canadian, I feel like a pauper when you compare our Standard of Living to what it is in the US.
Only 4 years, the pain makes it feel like a life time.
What about the packs that pharmacies make for the elderly, that help them monitor what pills to take each day?
