next time you go into a gun store, make sure you ask for a "Luger" XD
I’m thinking of purchasing one, just one. Somehow I feel as if I’m missing something by not owning a really good Makarov that exhibits quality and a lot of use. I just love the feel of a good gun. Built a few myself.
Anytime. I was laughing when the guy said customers keep saying “this Luger..” and his reply “ahh dude, it’s a Beretta, see the Beretta logo on the grip?”
I love my Taurus PT140 Millenium, carry it every day. It was inexpensive, very accurate (with aftermarket sights) has never jammed and the serial number is ???SEXX?????. The serial number is why I pulled the trigger on buying it.
Was more a Magnum P.I. and Miami Vice watcher back when, assuming same time frame..
Everything went downhill after James Garner and “The Rockford Files” went bye-bye.
I’ve got the PT111 Millennium G2 as my everyday carry.
Very accurate and dependable.
Love my Taurus 9mm Slim 709! Never had a problem with it since I took it out of the Box cleaned it thoroughly before using as advised. Even with multiple types of ammo, never had a misfire or jam. I still think its a cool
Single stack.
I learned what a “deuce-deuce wit a beam” is working part time at a gun store.
Don’t speak ebonics and had to have it explained to me.
I’m Surprised I have watched so much
TV and still have some accomplishments.
.
Seinfeld, MASH, Startrek and not to
Mention the old daily Sitcoms seemed
a great way to relax after
a day in the Salt Mines.
Which ones, especially. You speaking from experience?
Why? Sights are a personal thing.
From the sound of most of this guy's customers, they do not know much about firearms, so that explains a lot. First timers just wanting what they were told to want. I would love a Kimber or Les Bauer .45, but cannot afford them.
Notice that none of the guy's customers seem to have asked about Colt 1911 type pistols. That says a lot.
MeTV Channel has Mannix and Cannon starting at 02:00EST Weeknights. Seems to Me Jim Rockford is on someplace Latenight.
.22 with a Lazer Sight ?
Yep.
Over the years I’ve seen several weird things at gun stores. One guy wanted ammo for a .25 cal military rifle, it didn’t matter what kind, HE would make it work!
I took the clerk aside and told him not to sell this man anything, as he would end up hurting himself.
In another store, some man was looking for powder and ammo for a black power pistol he had purchased sever weeks before, He had no idea what he was looking for. He chose a smokeless powder and a bullet that was too big.
Again, I told the clerk to watch out, as this young man had no idea of what he was looking for.
I’ve seen others who had no idea what they were after.
That's Inspector Luger.
I remember Mad Magazine’s spoof of classified ads, must have been in the early ‘60’s.
One ad said “Genuine German Luger pistols, firing pin removed for your safety.”
Then on another part of the page, “Genuine firing pins for German Luger pistols.
Check out the Taurus judge or public defender.
Awesome home defense weapon.
Taurus are good weapons, and generally the most “bang-for-the-buck” you can get.......loved the ones I had........Sig’s are my favs, and don’t have any more Taurus - but they were good guns.......
