The next time you go to photograph your food, you might want to check the skies.

While visiting York, Maine, Alicia Jessop, a sports law professor at Pepperdine University, went to take a picture of the lobster roll she just purchased from Fox’s Lobster House.

It had the makings of a classic New England scene: lobster roll in the foreground, Nubble Lighthouse in the background.

But a nearby seagull had other ideas. Just as Jessop was taking her photo, the seagull swooped in and stole her lobster roll.

Because Malibu has polluted water, land that is polluted with libtards, and epic traffic. The beach isn’t particularly pretty either. I avoid the place like the plague.

Ah the life of a Gull. I envy it over my own. But I envy the life of a housecat first by far.

A friend once said “I’d like to be an eagle so I could soar”. I pointed to ‘smudge’, our cat, stretched out in the sunlight and I said: ‘see that cat....he’s soaring’.

$21.95 plus tax and gratuity. Serves her right it got stolen. More silly selfies and foodie pics. Who the heck, other than seagulls, care what your food looks like?

My question is why would someone from Malibu, California visit the coast of Maine?

The article told the why: The Los Angeles law professor just finished a work trip to Vermont when she decided to rent a car and drive to the Maine coast to fulfill her childhood goal of tasting a traditional lobster roll.

Once I was at a fast food establishment, and I observed some birds that were feasting on some food trash someone had thrown in the parking lot.

The birds were crows and seagulls.

They segregated themselves into groups by color. They weren’t fighting over the food, but they weren’t intermixing either.

Just like people, birds are racist.

I live at the Jersey shore. One thing you never do when eating a sandwich or hot dog at the beach is to extend your arm with the food in hand. In fact, normally you sit forward in your beach chair, crater your shoulders forward, and keep your lunch bodily inward. Otherwise, the flying rats will literally eat your lunch.

Used to go up to Gloucester on Sunday evenings. They had an outdoor spot in back of the Gloucester House, they had crab races, etc. You could get food and there was a small bar. I got a nice seafood platter, put it down on my table, went to get a glass of wine, and when I returned, there was a seagull making off with my seafood.

Having lunch on Clearwater Beach in Florida, a gull flew down and knocked my big juicy sandwich out of my hand, and within ten seconds a flock of other gulls had swooped down and scooped up all the fixings and flown off with them. Then some locals told me the gulls make a regular practice of this violent theft.

If you had a lobster roll in New England you would realize that 20$ is reasonable. The lobster rolls out the pretty much use a whole lobster in one of those rolls. No shortcuts. I prefer butter over mayo for lobster but the rolls are the real deal
