The next time you go to photograph your food, you might want to check the skies.
While visiting York, Maine, Alicia Jessop, a sports law professor at Pepperdine University, went to take a picture of the lobster roll she just purchased from Foxs Lobster House.
It had the makings of a classic New England scene: lobster roll in the foreground, Nubble Lighthouse in the background.
But a nearby seagull had other ideas. Just as Jessop was taking her photo, the seagull swooped in and stole her lobster roll.

Seattle also at Ivar’s.
As I decline to ever click on a Globe link, I will simply steal this image and post it later somewhere. Thanks.
Nasty creatures, those gulls. Even worse than crows.
That seagulls had expensive taste buds. I recall a seagull steal my Young sons peanut butter sandwich at a cape cod beach.
I saw a video of a bird walking into a store and stealing a bag of chips , bunch of thieves ,LOL
I watch a lot of golf and every spectator-lined shot shows a majority of fans watching their small screen instead of witnessing the action live and in person from close distance ! WTH.

Democrat seagull!
Go Bird, go! She is $43 bucks out for two lobster rolls?
Why she worry....she must have enuf money.
This fool and I’m sure others paid $21.50 for a Lobster Roll. Talk about gullible?
Good old PT was right after all.
Well... What do you expect to happen when you hold out seagull treats like that?
Because it’s a beautiful state.
This Masshole causes this problem. May all the birds shit on him for the rest of his life.
Foolish woman. Eat your food, don’t take pictures of it.
In Colorado weve got crows and fresh water sea gulls. The gulls are a half inch taller and a half inch longer than the crows. And the gulls will not yield to the crows. As obnoxious as the crows are, the gulls are like, so who the bleep do you think you are. It is refreshing to see a beautiful bird such as a gull standing up to a crow.
Seagulls can be very aggressive poachers. I remember when I lived near Clearwater, FL. A day at Clearwater Beach and the seagulls would swoop down and steal ANYTHING that was edible right out of your hands. Stole my mom’s hotdog out of the bun.
Around that time a law was passed against throwing them alka-seltzer - would do nasty to their insides. From what I remember. Maybe it was just wishful thinking.
The lobster is better.
