I disagree. They were just happy to get rid of Nixon, and his resignation simplified things for them. But they are vindictive, petty, America-hating rats who are never happy.
And, the Dhimmicrat party, who view the C_A as their stazi, have been controlling the media since.
Once the media figured they could depose the POTUS, they just assumed they could ^place^ the POTUS. The Clowns simply massaged their bloated heads.
Every Democrat I have known in the past 30 years has been a chronic malcontent about everything.
KInd of showed people for who they were though. Nixon was a liberal, old school. The rats didn’t give a rat’s @ss though, they wanted him gone for what he did to Alger Hiss (The James Comey of his time). And I suppose for not having been a good loser and gone away after losing to Kennedy. Trouble was, he needed backing from the Republican side, and after he had taken us off the gold standard, instituted wage and price controls, and opened the door to the Red Chinese (I always imagined them as being literally red colored), the pubbies weren’t there for him like they otherwise might have been.
