This is becoming more and more obvious, and the Deep State coup attempt on Trump is part and parcel of this. It’s long past time to dump the Ivies as a must-have ticket punch for high FedGov officials.

I find it hard to believe that College administrators and HS guidance counselors at least in some of these situations weren't aware of the manipulations folks used to get their kids in favorite schools. School admissions are total hypocrisy anyway, with Affirmative Action, legacy admissions, "rounding out" the student body by favoring the rich and famous.
In the real world, schools would lose their accreditation for letting the scandals continue.
