Food wrappers, human excrement, camping gear and empty oxygen containers comprised much of the high-altitude litter, which was flown to Kathmandu and handed over to recyclers Wednesday.
One corpse is believed to belong to a Russian mountaineer, while another was thought to be that of a Nepali climber. The remaining two bodies have yet to be identified, and Nepalese authorities on Thursday urged the expired climbers kin to step forward and claim them.
The bodies had been exposed by melting snow during the spring thaw and were flown to the state-run Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu for identification.

This is BAD!!
Who left the trash!!?!?
Bring on climate change and the melting snow will show more garbage and bodies.
Trash and Corpse’s, is there some overlap here?
All the trust-fund babies who lecture the rest of us on global warming, carbon footprints and overpopulating the planet while they jet around the world and have leisure time to do things like climb Mt. Everest because they don't have a job to go to.
I guess the old rule about leaving the trail or campsite cleaner than you found it does not apply to foolish, self-aggrandizing mountain climbers.
Food wrappers, human excrement, camping gear and corpses laying around everywhere? What do they think the place is? San Francisco?
Then they can climb that.
IIRC, in the Mouse on the Moon book by Leonard Wibberley, they spaced all their trash en route, so when they arrived, all the trash also splashed down.
All of the climbers....
And don't forget all the bodies....like 300+ of them!
WHAT?!?!?!!?
I must have been drinking extra recently.
When did this happen?!?!
What did they have a keg party at the top of a freezing mountain??
bttt!
Regardless of national origin they are despicable one and all.
Those SOBs, screw them! But for one to be singled out takes some of the focus off the deserving others. I think - The low IQ - is sufficiently inclusive.
The homeless make a mess EVERYWHERE they go.
Interesting to observe, therefore, that...
Mt. Everest is a "Chinese mountain", geopolitical issues aside. So translate that to Hebrew and back again: Har Sinai [הר סיני].
Some endeavors are best left to Moses. You know he'd never leave so much as a candy wrapper up there, and he wouldn't need a "no littering" sign to remind him to have respect.
Explains why he was authorized to climb the mountain in the first place. :)
I wouldn’t call myself an environmentalist, but this is just outright rude.
I think the local government should weigh each climber and his/her gear upon arrival. Then weigh again before leaving, and only allow them to leave if they are carrying more weight leaving than arriving.
